Recently had dinner for four people at Wildflower in Tucson, Arizona. We had the chicken two ways, the salmon, the brown rice/thai dish and the lamb meatballs with pasta. Each were splendid!!! Our waiter was incredibly friendly and helpful---he was so patient with us and made our evening so enjoyable!!!
The bread came out warm from the oven, along with an olive oil with mild spices and garlic. It was phenomenal. One of the members of our party had more bread (she said) than she had ever eaten in one sitting; she said she'd go back again for the bread!! Crunchy crust, warm soft sourdough bread inside---just delicious!
The salmon came with lots of quinoa, roasted vegetables...a great melange of flavors!
The thai/indian curry dish was perfectly spiced, along with a healthy brown rice that made it an excellent choice!
The two way chicken with apricots was succulent, rich, and flavorful. Served with vegetables and whipped potatoes, it was simply luscious! We were celebrating a birthday and the birthday girl felt completely spoiled. The decor is a bit unusual for a restaurant of this style. It's a blend of California cuisine meets French chic meets club scene in Miami. The views from the outdoor patio are incredible. The wine/bar list is extensive and you can watch creations made into the very open kitchen. The aroma will lure you in, but the flavors and friendly, fast efficient service will keep you coming back.
Located on the north side of Tucson, this place is worth the drive...... save room for dessert!
And to our young waiter who made our night memorable---many thank-you's; keep up the great work!!
