Fresh everything, best quality fantastic selection. Very attentive staff and excellent place to make your own salad or buy from the bakery, deli or sushi bar. Pricey but top quality.

“Very good selection - but not inexpensive”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2013

A J's is a great place for carry-out of a range of selections: cooked fish, side-dishes, salads, beer, wine, and dairy items. The quality is high - and the service is good. However, costs are on the high-end. Carry-out from A J's is more about convenience than about saving (compared to the option of a dine-in restaurant).

“Good Take-out Foods and Gourmet Grocery”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

Good bakery with a few gluten-free selections, an OK salad bar which gets a little tired looking by late PM, nice selection of take-out food for lunch and/or dinner, excellent wine selections, gifts, cards and flowers available and surprised to see (yummy) Tate's Cookies for sale (Tate's originally started as a small bakery in the Hamptons)....the best chocolate chip cookies ever!!

“Best in Town!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2013 via mobile

The prepared, ready to take away is always tasty! And busy! Salads, fish, beef, blintzes, yum! The bakery, only once in 5 years did I not like what I ordered (an apple cranberry tart/crostada which was dry & flavorless). The meat & seafood is great. We ordered their holiday meal packages - and are always well pleased. The are a tad more expensive overall, but if you know the pricing of ather area markets - they average out nicely! I always stock up on local AZ items to send to family & friends out of state. They are also ALWAYS my first stop when I arrive, whether it is Judy to get a bite for dinner, a cool drink, or something wonderful for breakfast in the morning - before I do that major restock of the pantry when returning for the season! (Enjoy the outdoor seating with a fire and a view of the valley!)

“best key lime pie ever”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

The key lime pie is out of this world. Also great burger as well as good salad bar. A little pricey however great quality without exception. Very upscale place and what you would expect from a up scale place.
