“Good for Hikers”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2012

We went in to the park, It has a fee which might be ok if your hiking or camping. It's a small park area with hiking trails but not much else

“Drive through only. Not too pretty.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012

Too hot for picnicking. I have not hiked the trails which many say are nice. The drive through was not pretty.

“Lovely place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012

I love this park and wish I could hike there more. There aren't a ton of trails but the ones they have are always scenic and peaceful. Romero pools is one of my favorite spots to visit in the summer.

Catalina State park is always a treat. It is a very popular hiking spot. Be prepared in any weather with sunscreen, water, and a hat.

“Camping in the desert”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012 via mobile

Spent weekend at Catalina state park. Site #10. Had water and electricity. Spot was clean and nicely spaced from next camper. We had a few trees but not much shade which was okay in October but would be rough in summer months. Hosts were friendly without being in our face. The big bathrooms were the cleanest, nicest we have encountered in 30 years of camping.
