“Great Botanical Leaning Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2011

Want to learn about desert plantings and the history of living off the dessert plantings, don't miss this great learning experience. On a scale of 1 to 10 Tohono Chul Park gets a 10+. from me. Very enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours, but try to have lunch at the tea room restaurant there.....it is out of this world. Had a bowl of pulled-pork soup while there, and it was the best soup I ever had, and my wife had a salad that was equally as savoring. Will go back there for lunch for sure while we are here visiting Tucson.

“Great place to learn about Cacti, and excellent lunch at Tea Room!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2010

Spent the morning touring the grounds, well maintained, walking paths easily maneuvered, and loved the gift shops! Ate lunch at the Tea Room - excellent service and food was delicious! Took tons of pictures, lots of benches for "sitting/resting" at various locations throughout the park. Very peaceful and beautiful. Check out the art work throughout the walls in the Tea Room - simply amazing!

“Do not miss this great desert arboretum and the great tearoom”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2010

This is a great place to visit--a desert garden with informative trails and ramadas with many birds, turtles, pupfish in the north end of the city. There is a gallery for exhibits and a great tearoom for lunch with serves out of this world prickly pear lemonade--do not miss this place!!

“Delightful morning!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2010

This wonderful botanical garden (rated one of the top 10 in the world) was recommended by a friend who lives in Tucson. We arrived early, when temps were perfect, and spent 4 hours exploring the trails, cacti, flowers and trees of this beautiful spot. Docents were available throughout the gardens to answer questions, and we were surprised at how many questions we had, after having visited the Sonoran Desert Museum, Saguaro NP, and Organ Pipe NP in the days before. On the Saguara Trail (a 1/2 mi loop), there are meaningful, inspirational quotes about nature nestled along the trail. On another loop trail, sign boards describe the Native American traditions and uses of cacti, as well as legends. It was a wonderful morning!

“Great Park, Noisy Location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2008

Loved the plants, but it was hard to relax in an environment surrounded by busy streets with lots of traffic.

I'd recommend this park, just don't expect the quiet experience commonly found in parks.
