“Good stay. Low, low price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2014

This hotel is close to Tucson International Airport, but you would never know it.

It is super quiet.

I am amazed that the price is so low for such a nice hotel.

The room was comfortable, and large, including a comfortable bed.

After a day on the road from Nevada, it was a good stop.

It is not on I-10, but easy to find and easy to get back on the road in the morning.

The breakfast was plentiful, but the warmer seemed to be on the fritz, as the omelets and sausage were not hot, but on the coolish side.

The room we were in is in need of some upgrades.

The carpet pad is lumpy, making walking in bare feet interesting, as you feel the bumps under the carpet.

The wallpaper shows some wear, but not bad.

These are minor things, and take nothing away from the value and comfort of the hotel.

Will I stay there again when going through Tucson?

Sure will.

It is one of those places that is easy to return to, and we will.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2014

Spent two nights here while in Tucson ion business. I chose the hotel based on location and price. It delivered both but not much else. I arrived to check in at around 5:00 pm on a Sunday. I stood at the desk for 10 minutes and watched an animated discussion between the desk clerk and other staff in another room. When she finally noticed me she said she would be right there. Five minutes later the very flustered clerk came over.

My paper work was ready but after many panicked calls on her walkie talkie to other staff, who never responded, she excused herself to see if my room was ready. Now remember this is 5 pm and I was expected but my room was not ready. I waited another 10 minutes before I was given a key card and assigned a room.

I was given a room on the first floor at the end of the hall. The room was clean but showed significant wear. There was a nice flat panel TV. Bed and pillows were fine. The work desk/chair were fine. The breakfast was ok too. The breakfast room staff were very friendly and helpful.

Again price and location were why I booked and on those aspects it did not disappoint. When staying in Tucson next time I am likely to pay a little more for a different hotel in the same area.

This hotel is very close to the airport, but noise was not a problem. The room was clean. Little details like a comment card that had been written on, carpet that is faded, and dingy frayed linens give a less that favorable impression, but if you look beyond those things it is a good hotel for the money. The front desk staff were exceptionally pleasant and very helpful.

the suite rooms are very large, with a work desk, couch, coffee table and large bedroom. the flat screen tv had 70& channels. the room also had in-room coffee, fridge and microwave. towels and linens were clean and decent quality.
the breakfast selection was huge- eggs and sausage patties, fruits, cold cereal, oatmeal, pastries, coffee, juice, etc.
computer in the lobby can be used. free usa newspaper. free airport shuttle.
only complaint is that the room was dusty.

I stayed here one night before Christmas and now three nights in March. The front desk and staff were helpful and friendly. Good room rates, they seem to run a number of specials. There were only two noisy flights in the morning. Good access, and I don't hear vehicle traffic because the hotel sets back from the road. Everything works, which is important to me. The Choice Hotels group is changing all their breakfasts to the same type, which means any of their breakfasts, at any of their hotels are marginal. Good road access to tourist areas, meaning you don't get all the commute traffic downtown. Also they give you a nice list of restaurants in the area. The front desk seems overworked and behind all the time. Maybe do an internet reservation to save time. Deluxe? No. But adequate for the basic tourist and business person. John A.

Room Tip: Stayed on both sides the hotel, and the rooms are quiet. Some traffic noise around 5pm from people...

This hotel is very nice. The rooms are nice, and clean. The lobby is nicely decorated. The only problem was there was only one person manning the check in and there was a line waiting. It took about 15minutes to get us checked in. The price was very competitive.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2014

Our stay at the Tucson Airport Comfort Suites was comfortable enough, but there are some thing that could be improved upon. The breakfast that was served was good but the room in which it was served was much too small with too little counter space and way too few tables and chairs. Also, our room with 2 queen beds and an additional sleeper sofa, all the sheet set had tears and or holes. How about investing in some new linnens?
