“Great Family Fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2012

We took my 8 year old daughter because we had a free morning during our trip and thought she would like it. It turned out we all loved it. Fascinating exhibits, clean facility, friendly staff. Overall a fun, educational place to visit.

“A Delightful Museum!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012

We were intrigued by name, "internation Wildlife Museum" located in the desert of Arizona. We expected to walk around a bit, see a few animals, and be out within an hour. We ended up spending over two hours - so much to see - the place is huge, and well worth the money. The displays of various animals from all over the world are very realistic and professionally done. And each display has descriptions of the animals depicted in the scene. And the butterfly display is absolutely breathtaking. What a wonderful place to take children. Many of the displays are hands-on, and the kids learn so much. We plan on visiting the museum again, next time we are in Tucson.

“Lions and tigers and bears, Oh My!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

The outside of the museum (resembles a castle) is enough to stoke your curiosity. My kids and I enjoy checking out animal attractions in new cities we visit. We were all pretty awed by the collection of animal species in this museum. Mind you, they are all stuffed...but the diorama displays are amazingly realistic and nicely done. One room looks like a gamesman trophy gallery (the one in Pet Detective comes to mind) and the presentation of the animal specimens are very realistic and creatively posed. The tour throughout the various rooms and galleries took us about an hour to an hour and a half. We all enjoyed this attraction.

“Fascinating and well worth your time. Don't miss it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2012

This is a wonderful place to spend a couple of hours with your family and friends, particularly if you are visiting the Gates Pass area of Tucson or the other nearby attractions such as the Desert Museum, Old Tucson Studios and Saguaro National Park West. The museum itself is air-conditioned, which provides a welcome break from the intense desert heat or inclement weather. As you approach the museum from the parking lot, you cross over a foot bridge which traverses an oasis-like area with a large pond teeming with small fish and other wildlife. As an extra bonus, the east side of the museum site features one of the most spectacular views you'll find anywhere in Tucson. Upon entering the museum, you'll be greeted by a very large rhino and the museum's friendly staff who will provide you with information about the museum which is self-guided. The museum is handicap accessible and they do have wheelchairs available for those who need them. The first room you'll enter is dedicated to insects of the world with a spectacular collection of butterflies and beetles. The rest of the museum is primarily dedicated to animals from around the world including several life-like dioramas with an emphasis on wildlife conservation. The highlight of the museum is "goat mountain", the recreation of an alpine mountain scene featuring quite a few different species of mountain goats and sheep (our grandkids counted 26). The museum features a gift shop with light snacks, sandwiches and soft drinks. The International Wildlife Museum is fascinating for young and old and well worth your time. Don't miss it whenever you're in Tucson.

“Interesting and Educational”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2012

Great place to visit with the family on a hot day. The selection of animals is amazing and displayed in diorama's like their natural habitat. We had a birthday party there and both the kids and adults loved it. The staff is wonderful! Great place to bring out of town visitors!
