Owner description: A bully good historic attraction, not to be missed: the home of Theodore Roosevelt from 1902 to 1906, considered the "Summer White House," a beautiful 23-room Victorian mansion estate that also includes a 37-acre National Environmental Study Area of forest, tidal salt marsh and bay beach.

It is a beautiful historic home. The museum is great and the walking trails are beautiful. A little gem.

“Good time.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2013

The main house is closed for renovation. The museum and walking trails are worth the trip however. This is a national park so the place is well kept and clean. Looking forward to a return trip when the main house opens.

“A beautiful piece of history”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

We know Teddy Roosevelt was one of our favorite presidents, but do you know where he spent many of his days with his family in Oyster Bay? If you don't then Sagamore Hill is the place to go. It is located on beautiful grounds, making for a day of walking and touring. Many other locals historic sites to round out your day!

“Wonderful Historic Site”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

An underused national resource - grounds and path to Cold Spring Harbor are great year round. The residence is closed - check website for future. No fee for grounds or museum. When house is open there are fees.

“Unfortunately TR's Main House is Closed”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

It seems the National Park Service is taking forever getting this place up and running. There's very little in the way of information in the Visitor Center. You can walk around the grounds, which are quite nice, and if you are lucky see some wild turkey. Oyster Bay, as a whole, is quite nice. Come back when the house is open.
