It was a beautiful and great hotel. It had the comfort of a conventions center and the mall within walking distance. I wold highly recommend this hotel to anyone. It was a great location in terms of transportation and convenience.

If you are visiting Providence, RI, there is no better hotel to stay at other than the Omni Hotel. The staff is always friendly and ready to help, the rooms are very nice, and the Select Guest program is invaluable! Plus, it's directly connected to the RI Convention Center, and in walking distance to everything downtown. It's the ONLY place I stay when in Providence.

I stayed here while attending a conference being held at the convention center. I arrived rather early and asked to check in and they were kind enough to allow it. When I got to me room I was very pleased with the modern updated look and was immediately drawn to the amazing view. The best part about the room for me was the bed, it felt like I was sleeping on a cloud! It was comfortable and clean, just how I like my rooms at hotels!! My room was conveniently in front of what looked like the capital building. It was beautiful at night to see the cars and lights. The staff were so helpful and provided service that was exceptional.

A few tips for your stay: 1. the mall is connected to the hotel and is great for a quick shopping trip and to grab a quick bite to eats. 2. Although they don't have a shuttle service there are taxis that sit outside that are reasonably priced. 3. There are some pretty nice restaurants in the area of the hotel, if you desire more of a fine dining feel. It's probably more walking distance in the summer when the weather is not as harsh.

I would highly recommend The Omni and plan on staying there again on my next visit to Rhode Island!

I was at the hotel for a convention and was very pleased with my stay. The hotel staff were very hospitable, check-in was easy, the food served at the convention was quite tasty. The room was very clean and surprisingly spacious - a luxury when compared to other hotels I have stayed at.

*elevators down for 3 hours, was told escort needed to assist walking up the stairs to your room ( for me this was the 24th floor)
* decided to eat lunch in hotel to avoid walking 24 flights, ordered lobster ravioli
I never mind paying higher prices for good food, but where was the lobster?? Some sort of ground mixture with little flavor... Was the result. $25 lunch, no salad, no bread, no lobster.

Not a very good overall experience since I arrived at 8 pm last night.

One more night stay.
Oh, and parking will cost you $28 per night.
Also, ATMachine was not working... Unsure if that was related to down elevator!?

The staff was exceptional - people were always asking, "how are you?" and they meant it. The room was very clean and the bed/pillows were top quality - very comfortable. I did NOT want to get out of the bed.
