“Very nice business stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2014

Stayed two nights for meetings in RI. Room was nice, nothing fancy but clean, well maintained and comfortable. Front desk was very freindly, helpful and had good dinner recommendations. I normally don't like using valet for parking because I like to be in control. I called down 15 min before leaving each morning and the car was there waiting for me even during a busy morning rush. Valets were freindly and very helpful. Sign up for the Omni program and they will deliver a complementary beverage to your room each am.

I stayed at this hotel with a youth hockey group of about 60 families, and were treated very poorly in terms of accommodation for our needs, attention to our requests, and flexibility from the staff. If you are an adult/couple, that might make this hotel a good choice for you. If you are traveling with children, particularly as a group, the convenience of the location is not worth the treatment you will receive. Stay elsewhere.

We would like to apologize to the group mentioned in this review for not providing a more typical Omni Providence experience. We unfortunately are not always able to accommodate last minute dining in our meeting rooms, as kitchen and banquet staff must be scheduled in advance to work the event. Should any future groups have unexpected dining needs that arise while staying with us the hotel’s two restaurants, Centro Restaurant and Flemming’s Steakhouse, are both happy to accommodate last minute parties of all sizes. We apologize again for not being able to meet the needs of this group, and hope they will reconsider staying with us again in the future.

Spent the weekend at the JWK Winter Hockey Classic with my family and Youth Hockey Team. This hotel was on the tournament "select" hotels. It was anything but accommodating. A few highlights (1) The hotel separated the entire team on different floors; claims was not in their control (2) the Valet was consistently overwhelmed & a rip off (3) the hotel elevators were "key access" & often did not work (4) the Assistant Manager was rude & non accommodating when a situation arose where we needed the hotel to assist us. When i spoke to the Manager to discuss what had occurred, he again made it about us and not them. Clearly he didn't understand that we were spending over $30K as a group in his hotel and now will never go back. In a world where everyone has choices; I choose never to use a Westin Property again.

Rooms are very clean and the hotel is very nice! I'd recommend it because of the location and the aesthetics but it Is very pricey.

Gets very loud with sirens always going off and the AC/Heater sounds like a motorcycle revving it's engine. Other than that... All is good!

Stayed here for one night, a stay-cation away from home. While we stayed in what seemed like the older wing of the hotel, our room was great. Had a 14th floor corner room, with a separate shower/bath, couch, etc. Everything was clean and as we had expected for our first visit to this hotel. We went down and had dinner at Fleming's, and came back to the room being turned down for the evening with extra bottles of water for us. This was a nice touch. We promptly received our complementary beverages in the morning, and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Being at the end of the hallway, we heard hardly any noise.

We will definitely stay here again, hopefully getting a room in the newer portion of the hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor

The only down side of my visit to this hotel was trying to find the place, which turned out to be quite ironic really as its the tallest building in down town Providence! But having found the hotel with the very kind help of the staff I checked in. It's all valet parking, a bit expensive but comparable to the local car parks. The reception was open spacious and the staff helpful and friendly. The room was typical, with all the key features of a North American hotel, huge TV, internet (Wired and WIFI), coffee machine, large bed and a clean bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and the general condition of the room was of a high standard. I only had breakfast at the hotel. As usual this was primarily a buffet affair, though a menu version was available if required. The choice was reasonable but perhaps the hot food could have been kept at a higher temperature. The price though if not booked with your room was ridiculously high and certainly not worth the value. Overall this was a good hotel it caters for the business man and the traveller equally well.

Room Tip: If you want breakfast make sure you book the option when you book your room.
