“Weekend wedding at The Biltmore”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW

The Providence Biltmore was the site for my Nephews wedding this past weekend. The hotel is set up perfectly to host an entire wedding. A++ for the convienience.

The rooms were very nice with the exception of the room temperature. The was no way to adjust the temp which was 63 degrees. I normally like a little cool but the outside temps were between 45-55 degrees. When asking about it I was told that it was the seasonal switch over of the system. Huh? Ok so why can't I control the temp in the room I payed for? Pretty lame but it was what it was. It wouldn't have so bad had I not gotten sick the day before we arrived.

The resturaunt on the main floor was average but pleasant. The staff was very good. Awesome location and again, an excellent hotel to have an entire wedding, ceremony, reception and seperate cocktail and meeting rooms.

The views were stellar from the 18th floor. I would stay here again.

Had a great stay at this hotel. Rooms were comfortable and generally well updated for an older property. Starbucks in the first floor is the best bet for breakfast as the restaurant which I think is separately operated is not very well set up for that meal. Also, if you are going in a bridge season, check out if the HVAC is properly set. If was very chilly when we were there but the hotel had already switched from heat to A/C so our room had no heat and was in the mid-low 60's.

My wife and I come down to stay at the Biltmore at least once a year. The old school charm is fantastic. The restaurant downstairs is top notch. Mccormick and Schmitt (sp) is the name of it. The beds are comfortable and some rooms have kitchenettes which helps us. It is local lots of nice things to do such as the skating rink across the street in the winter. Nice area to just go for a walk and explore. They do get you for valet parking which is like $26 per day or something like that. just a heads up on that. all in all it's a pretty awesome hotel with a great view so ask for a higher floor.

This is a great Art Deco building. I enjoyed staying at the hotel and though perhaps there are some bits that need a little TLC I had a comfortable stay. The room is a great size and coffee was provided. The toiletries were nice but the bathroom perhaps could do with a little bit of tlc. But a great stay in good location.

Great location, friendly staff and stunning Art Deco architecture. But rooms that were state of the art in 1922 although comfortable. From the external looks I'd hoped and many expected more. I'd stay here again but only for the location and Hilton points

Loved the historic feel of this hotel. The hotel has been renovated and the rooms are updated and comfy. It was wonderfully quiet, even though it is in the heart of downtown Providence. It is close to the bus terminal and within walking distance of Brown University and Rhode Island School of Design, as well as restaurants and shopping. Beds and bedding were clean and soft. Front and valet desks were accommodating and friendly. There is some continuing renovation going on in the lobby, but it is barely noticeable and certainly didn't cause any disruption to guests. Only problem is wifi was very slow. Starbucks on the property provided a place to get breakfast and an afternoon pick-me-up. I would definitely stay here again! You should too!

I stayed here from 2/1/2015 thru 5/1/2015. I stayed in 3 different jr. suite rooms. The 15th floor was the best. The bedroom was wonderful. The lounge and desk were perfect for entertaining. The view was awesome. My room overlooked the plaza and skating rink. At the end of a brutal day my bones melted into the down pillows and mattress. The refrigerator was too small for regular sized doggie bags. The bathroom toilet was too close to the door. I haf to close the door THEN sit on the toilet or sit side ways on the toilet. The coffee provided by maid service was VERY bad. Its competition was the Starbucks in the lobby. The front desk and valet were very welcoming. I especially appreciated the warm delivery of my car each frigid cold morning. It was worth the valet tip ($250 by the end if my stay). Yes, it was still cold and windy the entire stay:) I wish the old central elevator was operational. I wish they had a gift shop to buy memerobilia. I could have bought a travel mug, tshirt, and water bottle.
I would rate this hotel a 3/5 and I would stay here again :)
