Family and I stayed here on a Sat. evening. I called the toll free and booked the room from there within 30 mins. of arrival as we decided to stay in area overnight. We have stayed at other chain hotels in Prov. several times. Placed in room on 12th floor after asking for a high floor, quiet area of hotel. Room was clean and well furnished. CONS: Room was small compared to the town's other chain hotels. Teeny, tiny closet if you had some luggage, it wouldn't fit in there! Got the highway, exit ramp view. We asked for a room with no adjoining door but got one anyway - No alcohol from room service/no mini bar - you had to go to the bar at Shula's if you wanted a drink. Room service was also through Shula's - the food was decent and arrived at a decent speed but waitress taking room service order by phone was clueless. I had to read and explain the menu to her! ("Oh, wow, I don't have a menu!" she told me.) Parking fee of $20/self park was a rip off and fee for computer use in business center was greedy. (If the Hilton Garden Inn can offer this to guests for free, why can't the Hilton?) Also, limited cable options in room, especially for sports. (Again, front desk suggested going to the bar - re: get out of your room and spend $ at our bar!) PROS: Some of the staff at desk was quite helpful, telling me they would print what I wanted at n/c, even offering to let me peek at the internet on their screen behind the desk and looking up tour info. Bed was comfortable. Request for extra blanket was met quickly and delivered promptly. Starbucks right around the corner for quick breakfast option. FINAL THOUGHTS: There are better hotel values in this town. (Courtyard, Marriott --The Westin has better views, nicer rooms, lobby and location. I'd return only if I got a really good deal. ) Dining, room service and some front desk need more training/hospitality coaching. Stop the "nickel and dime" gouging of your clients. Hilton didn't earn a return visit, tarnished it's rep.
