Pros: Comfortable beds. Nice sized rooms. Very clean. Good location convenient to downtown and Federal Hill. Helpful staff. Free shuttle to immediate area (pending availability).

Cons: Ask about construction noise from nearby building. Had to move rooms to the opposite side of the building after the first night. After that, noise was fine. $10 per day internet fee should be free; what a rip off. HD TVs in room but there are no HD channels available.

“Hilton is Adequate”

Hilton Providence

Apr 2, 2008

We stayed at the Hilton in Providence for our anniversary. Initially they placed us in a dirty room, but they rectified the situation when we called the front desk. We were content with the new room and I found the bed to be extremely comfortable. The restaurant in the lobby, Shula's, had tasty food and an extensive wine list. Overall the experience was not extremely impressive, but worthwhile. I would only add that the parking fee is a bit offensive considering that they are charging paying guests.

“Nice hotel”

long island new york
Mar 24, 2008

We stayed here for the third time this Easter weekend visiting my son at college.

The hotel is very clean.

The double beds seemed a little small.

The location to Federal Hill is great. Great restrauants. They provide a van to take you within a 5 mile area. If the weather is nice it is an easy walk.

Staff was very helpful and extremely friendly. They made you feel so at home.

I am sure we will be back.

“Very solid 3, 3.5 star hotel”

Hilton Providence

Mar 22, 2008

The staff at the Hilton Providence is unbelievably friendly. Some do not seem to be as well trained as others, but many of them are as friendly and helpful as the great people of PVD! There is a van that goes around the downtown area.

The guy who drove the van around gave me some thoughts on what the best restaurants in Little Italy (which by the way is a 5 minute walk and one of the BEST Little Italy's I have ever been to, and I have eaten at several restaurants there...) are. He gave a good suggestion. When I asked if he would pick me up and take me somewhere else, the van was at the door before I finished signing the tip!

The valet guys are so eager to assist and give directions. Two guys, in fact helped me out and complemented one another in giving directions and loading the car.

The rooms are the average, well put together Hilton rooms. Clean, crisp, simple, nothing flashy. Not very big for a small city like PVD, and no room variety. Also there is no lounge for frequent members or Executive Floor rooms. I found that to be a big component missing.

This is a good hotel in a decent location, especially since it is right near Little Italy and the Dunkin Donuts Center. Take advantage of a hotel with amenities 1/2 a step above a Hilton Garden Inn, but less than the average Hilton, yet with very eager staff...

“What a nice surprise!”

Hilton Providence

Feb 18, 2008

What a nice surprise. I come to this area each year. I've stayed at the Westin, the Courtyard and now the Hilton. The hotel I liked the best was the Hilton. The outside and pool isn't as nice as the Westin. The rooms were extremely clean. The floor turns from tile to a neat carpet. There is a 32' lcd tv in the bedroom area. The pool is very tiny, so if you came here for the pool I wouldnt suggest it. However, this hotel is in a great location. It has a starbucks and a very nice restaurant. Very close to PPAC. I would say anyone who is staying at Providence to definantly look at this hotel first!
