The room was adequate, the noise factor we couldn't control. Breakfast was fine, but not a lot towards 10:30ish.

The Wyndham Garden is nothing fancy. It is nice and clean. It is your typical hotel. The staff is very nice and was very helpful in giving us maps and ideas of what to do and see. It is a bit out of the down town area and not really in walking distance. The area around it is a bit run down. They do have a shuttle service. For 5 dollars a person they have a shuttle that will take you to anywhere you want in Providence and will pick you up. The 5 dollars pays for this service all day. Doesn't matter how many times you go into down town. I was also told it will pick you up some where in town and can take you some where else. It does not have to be back to the hotel. This was a plus for us as we were going to water fire. The shuttle runs from 7am-11pm. The hotel is on the water and some rooms have that view. Mine didn't. It faced the highway and the whooshing of the cars was heard all night long. The room did have sleep number beds which my husband loved. It was nice to be able to try those. Over all it worked for what we needed.

We find the staff to be very pleasant and helpful. Everytime we visit Brown University we stay here. Brown families even get a discount! No parking fee like at the hotels in the city. It is very convenient to everything. It isn't fancy, schmancy - but we always have a great experience staying here and return time and time again!

Room Tip: Although rooms facing the harbor are a little bit more money, they are much quieter than the rooms f...

Room was good enough for one night. We had a nice view out towards water. Parking is free which was one of the main reason we stayed there. Hotel shuttle was great and took us to event we were going to. Easy walk to the east side of Providence which is a great place to walk around, shop, and eat. Would have liked a pool but no a huge deal.

We randomly chose this hotel from a coupon magazine we picked up on the road, and we had no reservations. We were three people (2 adults and a teen) and needed enough floor space for a blow-up mattress (because they don't have roll-aways). There wasn't a lot of room between the two doubles, but we managed. The bathroom is absolutely teeny. We had a view of the water on the back-side which was really nice. Definitely quieter than the front which faces a freeway. The location was good, but not great. You are in walking distance to some shops and quirky restaurants. There are safe walkways so that you don't have to attempt to cross the freeway and risk your life.

Room Tip: Rooms facing water are quieter and much more pleasant.

This hotel was super-convenient to both I-95 and Brown University. Much more affordable than the downtown hotels and no extra fees for internet or parking. The walls are a bit thin but it didn't really bother anyone in our group. The staff was extremely helpful both on the phone pre-trip and during our stay. No complaints and I will stay here again.

Room Tip: Choose a room on the bay side. Great views.
