I had work in Cranston and decided to stay in downtown Providence. I made the right choice. The building is very old, but very modern inside. The lobby is very large. Bellmen and valet were pleasant, but not overbearing. Check-in was fast and professional.
I was upgraded to a suite and the room was fantastic. It was large as one would expect, but it was also immaculately clean. Great view of the Capital across the street. Even though I was on the third floor, there was really no noise to be heard from the street or in the hotel.
The fitness room was pretty large with about 5 treadmills, other machines as well as free weights and mats.
The concierge lounge was quite large. In all honesty, the one complaint I have for my whole hotel stay is with the food in the concierge lounge. Very few concierge lounges mess up basic eggs and bacon, but this one did. The bacon was fatty and rubbery. The eggs were not great. The bagels seemed pretty fresh.
