“The best part of Providence”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2012

A couple girlfriends and I stayed at this hotel this past weekend and we absolutely LOVED it. We purchased a groupon for a Junior Suite and we weren't dissatisfied at all with our choice in hotel. The staff is INCREDIBLE there. At one point I felt like we were probably becoming a little annoying because we kept asking for things, (extra coffee cups, towels, shampoo's, ect.) but not even once did anyone make us feel that way. They delivered everything to our room immediately and without any hesitation. We received breakfast vouchers for $30 for two breakfast's and so the first day we ate in Aspire. Our server was so sweet, and anticipated all of our needs although sadly I cannot remember his name. The last morning we ordered room service and it came at exactly the time we requested and was piping hot. Our room was immaculate and the beds were so comfortable, we didn't want to get out of them most of the time. The bathroom is very charming but for being in a room with a couple girls, we needed counter space and ended up just using the window sill. Checking in and checking out was fast. Overall, we plan on going back again next year. We felt so comfortable and taken care for there, it was a pampering experience.

Room Tip: Saturday night gets really noisy from the bar/club next door and there are loud church bells in the...

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Providence on 1/21. We had booked a special package called, "Shop Right, Have a Bite, Sleep Tight," that gave us a King Suite for only $119, which was less than their standard room rate for that night (the King Suite without the package was around $240 for that night). It also included free breakfast and a snack basket. Because of the snow storm, they had several cancelations and upgraded us to the Premier Suite, which the bellman said was the nicest room in the place. It had a large bedroom area with a very comfortable king-sized bed and flat screen tv, a nice-sized kitchenette with microwave, large fridge, sink, and a Keurig machine with coffee and tea, plus an extra sitting room with a pull-out couch, chair, desk, and another flat-screen. The bathroom was large and modern with a jacuzzi and separate shower. Everything was extremely clean and in good shape. We have stayed there once before in a regular room, and we thought it was really nice as well.

Everyone there was very friendly and helpful. It is a small boutique hotel and has a personal feel, not like a big chain. When we asked for a place to grab a drink or dessert, they suggested a restaurant/bar a block or two away, called Local 121, which was a nice find. Breakfast there was lovely--delicious french toast with a nice view of the courtyard.

Check in and check out were easy and fast. The bellman was very prompt and helpful. Note that this is a city hotel, and valet parking is $26 a night. With the rate we were paying, it didn't hurt a bit. I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: One caveat--there are church bells that ring after 8am, so if you are a late sleeper, ask to be on t...

What a great little hotel. My husband and i spent the weekend at Hotel Providence to celebrate our anniversary. We were already planning a return visit as we drove home. The room was really nice...loved the little details like the mouldings, elegant curtains, marble floored bathroom. A great view of a beautiful church. We had a fabulous dinner at Aspire..the on-site restaurant. My filet mignon was unbeleivably delicious and hubby's game hen was seasoned to perfection.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves...thank you Hotel Providence!

I was fortunate enough to find an incredible season deal on the Hotel Providence website--a King Suite, $30 toward breakfast, outlet coupons, a welcome snack, etc. all for $119. I usually stay at the Hampton Inn when I come to Providence but a better price brought me to this hotel last summer. That room was fine and breakfast was great--but the room was small. This time, however, I could not get over the number of rooms and space in the King Suite!! The furniture, etc is not my style but I still appreciated the amenities, the comfort and attention to detail. And, I could not get over how genuinely friendly each and every employee that we encountered was.

Room Tip: If you can find a great rate for the King Suite, go for it!

I totally enjoyed the stay. Very clean, great central location, and the price was very reasonable. We had a King Deluxe room; both the room and bath were quite spacious. The bed was fairly soft for my taste -- but that's being particlar. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Dear Valued Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at our hotel and restaurant. We are very proud of our unique art collection and love to see our guests marvel at its beauty. I believe it's one of the many things that sets us apart from the corporate hotels in the area. Also, thank you for mentioning our "Dog Friendliness"! We are dog ecstatic, actually! From out lobby "doggie lounge" with toy and treats, to our Monday afternoon dog "Yappy Hour" where dogs and their owners enjoy dog-themed food and beverages on our outdoor patio, to our "Inn the Doghouse" package on our website, I can't image a move canine-catering place. We hope that next time you visit we'll get to meet your dog, too!

Warm Regards,
Tom Fitzgibbons
