So you walk into this place and you can tell that they have been open since 1924, nothing fancy, nice view of Atwell Ave in Federal Hill District. It's the type of place that you would go for a casual lunch or dinner and is perfect for children. There are plenty of menu items to choose from. The place boasts about it's recent filming in May 2012 of Celebrity Chef Guy Fieri's, Diners, Drive In's & Dives. They have a life size face of Guy cartoon drawn on a ceiling above the main diningroom signed by Guy. They have also printed T-Shirts with Guy and his famous Red Camaro that they sell at the restaurant. Now the important stuff, The Food. Three of us had their famous Veal and peppers, my wife had the Veal Parmagiana and my daughters fiancee had the Jamies Special a trio of Eggplant Parm with Chicken Parm served over a plate of penne pasta. My wife loved her Veal Parm taht she couldn't stop talking about it. The dish that they are well known for is their Veal and Peppers that is slow cooked all day in a rich broth. When they brought it out it the aroma was quickly recognizable as something that my mother use to make for us when we all lived at home. The veal itself was a heaping portion that consumed the plate and the sweet green peppers rounded out the dish. You need to ask for extra bread to absorb that mouth watering Veal broth that you would not want to go to waste. There were 8 of us and with drinks, appetizers, entrees & dessert the Bill was $216 which included tax and tip. I consider this a bargain and most of all no one left hungry.
