“Walk the Walk”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2012

College students are everywhere as you walk down the street. The local eateries are unique and the local stores offer unique items. It is an excellent walk on a sunny day.

“The shopping street for Brown University students”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

Brown students, high school kids, and people in the neighborhood shop and dine on Thayer Street, which has around a dozen fast food and less casual restaurants, the best being Kartarbar and Andreas. One can get various forms of pizza, Mexican, Greek, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and middle-easterrn food. Other features are the Avon Theater for art films, various national chains, and the Brown University Store.

“Eclectic Chaos”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2012

In a visit to Brown or RISD, would recommend a visit to Thayer. You get a sense of student life and see the community in action. Some good restaurants and places to shop

“Life returns”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

The students are back on Thayer Street. It brings life and spirit back to the street. Yes, it makes it a little more difficult to find parking (Providence is no help by putting up all the new meters) but it is wonderful to have them back.

“Great eating”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2012

The street is small but there are so many food and shopping choices. The only thing I dont like is that it gets a little too wild at night.
