The RI State House should not be missed--it is filled with history and elegance. The building of Georgia marble is a lovely structure and can be toured easily in one to 1 1/2 hours. There are guided tours at 9, 10 and 11 AM weekdays and self guided tours at other times on weekdays. The state library is an impressive room, as is the dome, and the Senate and House chambers.
