“Estes Park KOA a great place to stay!”

Estes Park KOA

We had a great time at the Estes Park KOA. The people who run it are very nice and the place has lots of amenities. The daily pancake breakfast is nice and very inexpensive. On Saturday evenings they have a man come for an hour and tell stories about the Stanley Hotel. They also offer ice cream in the evenings. The location is close to everything and there are great views. They are also very helpful with ideas of where to go and what is neat to see in the area. I definately would stay there again!

“Extremely cramped!!”

I stayed at Estes Park KOA in July,2006 .I have a 30 Ft. travel trailer and a Ford Excursion, got in fine because I got there at 2:00 P.M.,but when I tried to leave I had to wait for other campers to leave(luckily they were leaving the same day!!).The spaces are extremely tight and you have to park your vehicle in the parking area away from your RV.
Also, there is a horse farm in front when you pull in,which is great. However, I'm not sure they cleaned up after the horses in quite a while if you know what I mean!!

“You can hear your neighbor snore! Tight spaces!”

We spent ONE night at this KOA in Estes Park in our very large pickup/camper. Big RVs seemed awful crowded. There are cabins also.

I was surprised how small and hilly the campground is. And I swear the space we got was probably 3 inches more than what you get at the grocery store parking lot. With that reasonsing of tight spaces, your picnic table is situated immediately in front of your rig, not on the side!

If you don't mind hearing your neighbor snore, try this, but if you want the comfort of spreading out a little, try another campground for the same amount of money. This was ridiculous!

“Great place”

We stayed for 5 days at the KOA in Estes Park and its one of the best KOA's I have been at. The sites, especially the RV sites, have AWSOME views of Estes Valley, and the rate was great! Very quiet and right beside an excellent "ranch" for horseback riding.

Definetly worth the price during the off season!

We typically like to stay at KOA's because of price and an atmosphere closer to camping than staying at a hotel.
The owner of the Estes Park KOA, however should not make it a practice to interact with his guests. His management hosts are great, but after one conversation with him, I will never stay there again. He does not appreciate what he has and takes his guests for granted. I'll pay more and stay elsewhere, even a hotel if need be.
Would not recommend this one. The one in Ouray know how to treat their guests.
