“Perfect hotel for a Rocky Mountains trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2010

We originally were going to camp in the park during our trip to Rocky Mountain National Park, but decided to stay here based off the great reviews we read on TripAdvisor. And I'm so glad we did!! This place was wonderful, the fireplace in the lobby, the helpful woman at the front desk, the hot tub, and the mountain view from the room! I would definitely recommend paying the extra $10/night for the mountain view. It is definitely worth it!! The breakfast was the best we had all trip, and that includes buffets in Las Vegas! We loved Rocky Mountain National Park and the town of Estes Park. Make sure you go to the brewery. We also appreciated hearing about the story of "Samson" from the nice woman at the front desk. Another fun thing to do in town is to find all of the bronze statues, (including one of Samson), also recommended by the woman at the front desk. Overall, this was a great hotel, probably the best on our month long trip. My only complaint was that we didnt stay longer!!!

I too think that the mountain view rooms are worth the extra money. They have balconies with chairs that face the mountains, and are on the second floor. The best part of the location is that the buildings with mountain view rooms are in are situated on a hill, so the most steps up into the room are 7.

I am glad that we were also able to recommend some great activities to do around town. Providing clean, updated rooms is not enough. We strive to provide our guests with the best customer service possible. We love recommending activities, restaurants, hikes or scenic drives. All of our front desk staff are knowledgeable in the Estes area and my family has owned this hotel for 38 years.

We also provide exceptional value to our guests through our fair rates and guest amenities. Our breakfast is one of the best reasons to stay with us. We have make-your-own waffles, yogurt, fruit, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, bagels, English muffins, cinnamon raisin bread, toast, muffins, doughnuts, coffee, tea and juice. There is something for everyone on our breakfast bar.

Bringing these three qualities (clean rooms, great service and exceptional value) together is what we strive to do every day. It has also helped us earn the 2010 Platinum Award from Choice Hotels. We too wish you could have stayed longer with us and we hope to see you again soon!

First, we arrived in town a little earlier than expected but the hotel accommodated for us. They let us check in early as the room was already clean. The check in process was quick, the room was nice and clean and had a beautiful view of the mountains. The hot tub was the best part, nice enclosure.

Overall, great trip.

I am glad that we were able to accommodate your early arrival. While our guaranteed check-in time is 4:00 pm, we do encourage our guests to stop by and check to see if their room is ready when arriving before check-in time. We will do our best to get you checked in then or at a time earlier than 4:00 pm. We know that traveling can be very exhausting, especially when driving up one of the three winding roads that feed into Estes Park. The fist thing our guests want to do is to get settled or maybe get some much needed rest. This lowers the stress level of traveling, knowing that you have your room in order and you no longer have to worry about getting situated. Another relaxing feature we have is our enclosed hot tub and outdoor heated pool. This is great for the family because after a long day of hiking, parents can sit in the hot tub while the kids play in the pool. We do keep our pool heated to 84 degrees, which makes it great for taking a swim. So if you have a reservation with us, or even just want to stop by and check out our rooms, please feel free to at any time and we will try our best to accommodate any early arrival. Thank you for staying with us and we do hope to see you again!

We had originally booked for 2 nights, however due to a change of itinerary had to change to one night which was no problem to the staff who we found extremely friendly. The room was of a reasonable standard, nothing special, however I would say you get what you pay for and the rates were reasonable. The hotel is situated outwith walking distance of the centre of town so a car is a must at night time. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

Here at the Comfort Inn Estes Park, we understand that certain events happen while on vacation and we do try our best to work with our guests during those changes. It is all part of striving to provide the best customer service possible, clean rooms and having great value. These three things are our focus every day. I am glad we were able to accommodate you and look forward to seeing you again.

We were very happy with our stay here. We stayed in a room around back, parked outside our room (nice wide assigned parking spaces) with a view of snow-covered mountains from our window. The room had a lot of furniture (desk, microwave, fridge enclosure, etc) which made it a bit tight, but okay. Lots of outlets, flat screen TV, wi-fi was good, in a quiet area. Only 10 minutes to the park entrance. A shopping center nearby with restaurants, and a quilt shop nearby too!

Staff was very friendly at check-in. We cut our visit short by one day and that was handled efficiently with no penalty. The lobby is nice - spacious with a fireplace. The have a PC and printer in the lobby for guests' use. Breakfast was very nice - 7am (would prefer 6 am), good selection of pastries, fruit, juices, yogurt, waffles, etc. Coffee and tea available in the lobby at all times.

Our mountain view rooms do have fantastic views! All of those units do have exterior entrances and marked parking spots in front of the room. This makes it easy to unload cars and find a spot when we are busy.

Rocky Mountain National Park is only 4 miles away and Bear Lake 9 miles. This makes our location perfect for those who want to be close to the park, but not on the busy roads closer to the entrances.

I am glad that you enjoyed you stay with us and do hope to see you again soon!

Just came back from a trip where we spent one night at this hotel. Multiple building to this hotel. Main building looks the best. The other building don't look quite as nice, but still were good. Inside remodeled room was clean aand neat. Good size room. Separate bathroom/bath from sink. Flat screen TV. Normal Comfort Inn breakfast. Even had an elk outside in the morning. Walls a little thin, so easy to hear neighbors and people talking outside. Got a good recomendation for dinner from front desk.

Most all Comfort Inns excel above the competition, but this one was the "best of the best" when it came to friendly staff, great accommodations, and beautiful surroundings near the Rockies.

My grandson and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay thanks to the great job they did!

They keep making accommodations better and better each year. The Estes Park Comfort Inn most certainly deserves the Platinum rating. Impressive to say the least. We've visited other establishments where friends are staying and are glad to be coming back to our room at the Comfort Inn every time.
