Nice place to stay in Estes Park. The breakfast was good. Enjoyed the pool.

The views of the mountains from our room were amazing! We stayed at the Comfort Inn in Estes Park for four nights. We had elk off our back deck on two of the four evenings. If it's warm enough to leave the windows open; you can hear the elk bugle through the night. The room itself was large and clean. A great place to spend your time away from home! The breakfast was very good; with waffles, sausage, scrambled eggs, fruit, etc. My only complaint about our stay was that they don't serve breakfast until 7:00 am. We skipped breakfast several times to get an early enough start for hiking.

We stayed here for three nights and enjoyed our stay. Our room was large and comfortable (and very clean) with a desk, extra chair, refrigerator (always appreciated) and microwave (never use them) and a nice patio. The pool was good (not large, but still a good size) and the hot tub quite large although not as hot as I would like, but that could be a safety concern of the hotel. The breakfast was better than expected and especially liked the coffee (seating was limited). Good coffee available all day at the desk which is better than trying to make it yourself in the hotel room. Good location and a short drive to the downtown area of Estes Park. Bonus, we got to see some elk that we were told come down from the mountains this time of year. Amazing to see these beautiful animals up close but we worried about them walking around town and crossing streets there. Another plus, they have a room with three computers and no charge to use the internet. Very nice!

Room was clean but looked worn & needed some updating. We paid a premium for the mountain view - very expensive for the quality of the room, especially compared to other hotels we stayed at during our trip. Hotel was full, so breakfast was very crowded. Not enough tables for guests to eat. Took breakfast back to our room.

Room Tip: Stay in the main hotel, not the outside entrance rooms

Pros: The location was beautiful (can't go wrong with Estes Park). Our room was on the second floor and our back "porch" looked out towards the valley & mountains. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The AC unit worked well - although we really didn't need it as the weather was fairly cool. Breakfast was substantial but the room was crowded and filled quickly. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The front "porch" was very creaky and since the head of the bed was on that wall, every footstep outside past our room was heard & felt. The carpet was dirty enough that when you stepped into the shower there were instant footprints - but it's a dusty mountainous area. The bed was a bit lumpy (king) with a concave where the many bodies have slept.

I chose Comfort Inn for an overnight stay during a 2-day hiking trip in Rocky Mountain National Park. The room was clean with a comfortable bed, thick towels, plenty of hot water, granite counter, plus a microwave and roomy refrigerator. As with all motels the carpeting has been subjected to a lot of foot traffic. A hot breakfast was included.

Room Tip: West facing rooms have the best view of the mountains.
