For the price, you will not be able to find a better hotel so close to downtown. We were able to walk everywhere. The view is amazing - the river is nearby (although it flooded when we were there). We will difinitely stay there again.

Room Tip: If possible, book a room on the second floor. Otherwise, you will hear people above you moving in th...

We are so happy you like your time at the River Lodge.
Being close to downtown is definitely a plus. The river may have
been high from the mountain snow melting.
We hope you come back again.

My sweetie and I had an absolutely wonderful 5 day vacation and Murphy's River Lodge was such a freindly and inviting place to stay as we enjoyed the area's attractions. From there it was very easy to get to downtown Estes Park and just a short drive to the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. The staff at the lodge were exceptional in every way. Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Please stay here! You won't be dissapointed.

I found this hotel to be clean and pleasant. The managers and staff were very accommodating and friendly. It is nicely furnished without the silly moose and bear "decor" you tend to find at other area establishments. My only recommendation--get a room on the second floor if you don't mind the walk up. We had a first floor room. When the folks on the second floor kept moving their chairs on the balcony, it was quite noisy. No one at fault here, just how the place was built years ago. But the sound was a bit annoying after a while. Other than that, great place to stay.

Room Tip: Second floor to avoid noisy walking and balcony sounds.

From the moment we checked in until we departed the property, anything we needed was provided for us quickly and with a smile. Very clean and orderly room with great king sized bed, great menu @ Continental Breakfast, and very clean swimming pool and hot tub. Even a complimentary picture at the end of our stay to commemorate our anniversary. Stephanie at the front desk was very accommodating. We will go back! Thank you staff!

Room Tip: Great King Bed sleeping arrangement!

Stayed in Estes for my girlfriend's birthday with friends and decided to try out Murphy's River lodge. We booked through Booking.com which created some challenges when we needed to change our reservation, however, the management team went out of their way to work with Booking.com to settle our issue without a fine or deposit. Once we arrived we loved the quality of the room and amenities. We used the pool, and the hot tub and very much appreciated the plentiful continental breakfast each morning. The proximity to both the National Park and the town (easy walking distance) made our stay everything we hoped it could be. The day after we checked out one of the cleaning staff found a charger that had been left in the room and they even mailed it to us. If you are looking at this place and on the fence you can definitely feel comfortable with choosing Murphy's River Lodge. Its a great place to launch your vacation in Estes and RMNP from.

A great location in Estes Park. The room was large and clean, it was a second story room with a fireplace, small refrigerator and coffee pot. A nice amenity was a balcony over looking the river. We enjoyed it while relaxing and having a drink, later we left a window open all night to enjoy the sound of running water. Not all units are on the river so be sure to ask before booking a room. The hotel is on the edge of town, an easy walk to all of the stores and restaurants. Annette was very knowledgeable about town and a pleasure to deal with. There was a continental breakfast which was nicely appointed and was a good starting point for our day walking in the town.

The unit we rented has a pass through to a set of stairs that connects to the unit below, which we didn't see, but were told has a complete kitchen. This would be great for a large family or group. All in all Murphy's River Lodge was a pleasant surprise and is on our "do over" list.

Room Tip: Upstairs on the river side.

Roy,
Thank you for your review! I am glad you enjoyed the Upper King River Condo room. We have a lot of guests that enjoy both sitting out on the balconies and sleeping with the windows open to enjoy the river flowing by. I am so happy Murphy's River Lodge is on your "Do Over" List. We are excited and look forward to you returning to stay with us again!
