We spent our first night together a wedded couple at the Black Dog in the Sundance suite. We stopped by in the fall to view the suites and it was our favorite. It didn't disappoint. The owners greeted me the day before when I stopped by to see if I could check in early and the graciously allowed us to. The room was immaculate when we arrived. The breakfast the next morning was terrific too. We will be returning in the future.

The owners provided a warm welcome by greeting us outside by name and guiding us to the correct parking spot. The cabin we stayed in (Twin Owl) had a spacious master suite with a jacuzzi tub. Upstairs there were two twin beds so it was perfect for three grown women enjoyed a weekend outing. The cooked breakfasts were delicious. We were also treated to a tour of the different units and all of them were unique and inviting. As a couple I would ask for the unit with the double fire place. The owners are willing to respond to any request, like extra homemade cookies and the easiest place to get a tire repaired. Estes Park is a beautiful location and I plan to return in the summer to hike. The food, friendliness of the owners, and the comfortable lodgings would have me return with my husband or another girls' weekend.

Black Dog Inn continues to warm our hearts and bring to us a sense of contentment and satisfaction much needed in our busy lifestyles. The new owners, Carlos and Sheree, continue to provide the visitors of Black Dog Inn excellent service and the staff from the morning cooks to the housekeepers will make sure your every need is met and will go out of their way to make certain you are satisfied. Carlos and Sheree are very friendly, as is the entire staff, and are willing to listen to your needs and suggestions. The breakfasts are prepared with care and will provide enough energy for a walk around town or a hike on the many trails that surround the area including the gorgeous Rocky Mountain National Park. The cottages will surely add to your contentment. Each is cozy, romantic, and very quiet with all of the amenities for a satisfying stay. Whether you are visiting for the first time in Colorado or a resident of the state looking for a weekend getaway from the busy cities along the front range, you will enjoy staying at the Black Dog Inn.

We picked the Black Dog Inn for our elopement. It was wonderful to just book it and let someone else take care of the details. The room was terrific. My husband and I are very clean and neither of us could find anything wrong with the room. It was spotless and pretty. If we needed anything, it was there immediately. The ceremony went off without a hitch. The breakfast served each day was delicious. The Inn was very private, we only saw other people at breakfast. The Inn is located just blocks from downtown. The scenery is breath-taking. We definitely plan on returning sometime. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat.
