We stayed at the Jellystone Campground of Estes park as part of a three week tour of the west. This was a very disappointing camping experience as we have stayed in much nicer Jellystone Campgrounds in other parts of the country. This particular campground is minimally just OK if you are staying in a tent or a pop-up camper; otherwise, it is extremely difficult to maneuver an RV up the narrow roads of the campground. Our RV is 28 feet, not a huge one. We had to unhitch the car halfway up as there was no way we were going to make it up the steep hill. We stayed in site 67 which was not marked at all, making it even more difficult to navigate in the middle of the night. Checking in the next morning, I told one of the staff that perhaps we weren't in the correct site as it was dark and not marked. I was not so politely informed that we would have to pick up and move. Also, if you are in an RV at the top, the bathroom is way down at the bottom of the hill along with the dumpsters. This was a very disappointing end to our vacation. It is WAY overpriced for the type of facility it is. We will never stay at a Jellystone again.
