“Just like home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2014

Our family thoroughly enjoyed staying at Solitude. The cabins are furnished beautifully and we felt right at home as soon as we walked in the door. There was more than enough room for our family of 5 and we especially enjoyed utilizing the deck and grill for family dinners. Having stayed in other parts of Estes, we have gotten used to dealing with the traffic that accompanies the more downtown locations. Solitude is perfectly off the beaten path, yet still close enough to town to enjoy all it has to offer. Solitude will be our new home away from home in the future.

You pointed out one of the best features of Solitude Cabins...Not on the beaten path. It is hard to imagine that we are just two miles away from all the amenities of town, because it is so quiet and peaceful on our side of town.

I was in Estes Park over christmas break. I can honestly say it was great. The cabins were clean and comfy. They are all furnished and the views of the Rocky Mountains are amazing. We really enjoyed our stay there and I can honestly recommend it.

Thank you for pointing out how clean the cabins are. We try to always make sure the cabins can look the best they can. We want guests to feel that comfy feeling the moment they open the door.

We have stayed numerous times in these cabins. They are all well stocked with everything you might need to cook or grille your meals. There is a large covered patio that is perfect for larger family gatherings. If a quiet, relaxing trip is what you are looking for - this is the place. Close enough to the center of Estes Park to walk in on the trails - and only a 15 minute drive to the entrance of Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park. Free bus service from right at the cabins is available to either town or the national park. Most weekends there is some special event in town - or you can sit on the deck and enjoy beautiful views of Longs Peak. All of the condos are stand alone units, not attached to each other, and are in among the tall pine trees. There is no swimming pool, but there is a large hot tub on the premises.

Room Tip: All the cabins are nice, but you might want to get one fairly close to one of the parking lots so th...

We really enjoy staying at Solitude. We have gone back a number of times. The views are great, and the cabin has everything we need to be comfortable - nice decor, good beds, a comfortable living room, a fireplace, a table for meals, nice closet space, cable, internet, even a washer and dryer. The kitchen is well-equipped, though we also like to go into town for a nice dinner. The staff is excellent, and the rooms are very clean and well cared for. The location is great - away from all of the main hotel areas so it is quiet and you can enjoy the wildlife. We have had elk and deer right outside our door - and even a bobcat! And of course Rocky Mountain National Park is just a few minutes away, which is where we like to spend our time either snowshoeing or hiking and taking pictures of the magnificent scenery. And not just in the summer - all of the seasons are beautiful and have plenty to offer. It's the best!

We agree, our location is one of the best parts of Solitude Cabins. It is a little quieter, wildlife is more abundant and it gives the homes a cozy feeling. But we are still just a quick 2.5 miles to all of the shopping and just a few more miles to the park. We forget how busy the town can be at times, because we are tucked away from it all. We hope you find time for another visit.

Wow I stayed an entire month at Solitude last Dec. It could not of been a better place to spend the holidays. Friends came by, it snowed some, lots of Christmas programs in the area, the shopping was great, the people went out of their way to serve you, looking out my window I could see Longs peak, the condo was decorated for Christmas, animals came to visit during the day and it was all just great. Now I have booked again for the Spring,. Cannot wait. It has to be the best place in Estes to stay!!!

Room Tip: I would say all of the condos are perfect for a vacation

We love Estes Park and RMNP for so many reasons. Our stay is always made better at Solitude Cabins. Sitting on the deck enjoying the view after a day of hiking, coffee by the fireplace on a cool morning or wildlife wondering through the property are just a few things we look forward to at Solitude. Having a full kitchen really makes things easy for a family outing. The staff at Solitude is very knowledgeable and can recommend great activities in RMNP and around Estes. Can't wait to go back!

Thank you for the review. We are glad you found your cabin to be such a piece of Solitude! We are thrilled the wildlife was available to help your stay. Of all the things we enjoy here is the random wildlife that fill our days. We look forward to seeing you again!

My husband and I just got back from our honeymoon and we stayed a full 10 days in these cabins. It is the perfect most relaxing location you could find. It's quiet, spacious, and comfortable. The kitchens had everything you needed to make a meal or the cabins were close enough to go downtown for a meal out. The cabin we stayed in had the most comfortable recliners and were perfect to watch March Madness from. The fireplaces are also great for those cold nights in Colorado! It snowed one of the days we were there however when we woke up we found out our porch and sidewalks had already been taken care of and salt had been poured in our parking lot and on the sidewalks! They really know how to take care of you there.
