We stayed in cabin 1875-5 in March and loved everything about it! The home is beautifully decorated and the kitchen is equipped with everything you could need or want. The mountain views are beautiful from both the deck and inside the home. The fire place is warm and inviting - perfect to come back to after a day of winter activities.

The cabins are spotless and impeccably maintained and the office staff friendly and helpful. The cabins a two floors with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend staying at Solitude Cabins while visiting Estes Park or Rocky Mountain National Park.

Solitude cabins are by Lake Estes just before you get to town, but still very convenient. These are large 2 bedroom, 2 bath units with all the comforts of home and then some. The kitchen is fully equipped even with good coffee!

Everyone was wonderful to work with from making the reservation to check-in and out. There is a lot of pride in the complex. The units are individually owned and only a few years old.

As others mentioned they are a little close together, but once you close your blinds you are in your own mountain paradise. Lots of mature pine trees and rock outcroppings are around. Some units have a view of Longs peak, but not all.

We stayed for a week at Solitude Cabins in the first week of October for the elk festival. The elk were magnificent and they were all over the city. It was awesome. The cabins are decorated like a fashion magazine. The people who rent them to you are intelligent and classy. There are books in the cabin to read, You have everything you would have in a very nice home newly built and decorated by a graduate of interior design school. Put peanuts out and beautiful birds eat off the patio posts in the morning while you drink your coffee. There are deer and rabbits hopping about. Across the street is this wonderful walking path that takes you to the city and every turn of the path is another beautiful view of the mountains and lake. This place is full of drawers to put your stuff in, sinks to wash your face in and closets to hang your clothes. The kitchen had everything I had at home and it was all beautiful. It is a a high maintenance person's dream. I loved being spoiled for a week. I bought me some watercolors and a pad from the True Value Hardware store and did some paintings while I was there because it was too beautiful to resist!

We just got back from an anniversay weekend in Estes Park. We loved the Solitude Cabins. The cabin we stayed in was beautiful. It was nicely furnished and decorated. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the hot tub. The cabins are kind of on the edge of town. Close enough to go to downtown to shop and eat, but not in the middle of things. The cabins are close to Lake Estes and a walking trail. We saw lots of elk. We hope to return with our entire family.

Me and the wife decided to give the Solitude Cabins a try based off of some research I did online. They had a good location and great price for the time we needed.

We arrived on Monday, Sept 10th and left on Friday, Sept 14th. The staff in the office was very polite and helpful with everything we needed. Our cabin was 1880-1, which appeared to be centrally located in the community and was easy to find.

The cabin itself was great: 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, pull out sofa, large deck with grill...etc etc. The decorations were tasteful and everything was very very clean and in excellent condition. It was a wonderful cabin and I hope to own something similar to it someday.

The cabins were within walking distance of the lake / park and you could walk to downtown, although it's probably a little far (2-3 miles). They were super easy to find and very very convenient to downtown.

The only drawbacks I saw:

1- ZERO privacy. The cabins are in a small "community" and are within feet of each other. If you're not careful you'll wind up giving your neighbors a peep show. We love the mountains but we like some privacy to enjoy the deck and nature. When we were on our deck we were staring into the bedroom of the cabin next door. When in the upstairs shower I came out only to realize that my neighbors saw it all. I'm not bashful, but it would be a big problem for some people.

2- No air conditioning. Our cabin was nice and cool at night with the windows up because it got in the 30's each night. The cabins only have air "circulators" which pull in cool air from the crawlspace of the house. We found that it does little to cool the house and I couldn't imagine staying here during the summer months.

It was a great trip and I would probably stay here again if the rates were right, but I would look for something with more privacy before we booked here.
