“Interesting History Stop”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2014

The woman who greets you is as gracious as she might be if you were visiting her home! A short video to watch and then several small rooms in which to enjoy the history of the area. Be sure to look at the tree and the timeline corresponding to each of its rings. Fascinating!!

“Very interesting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2014

I enjoyed this museum and the little log cabin out back. Nice exhibits, interesting displays covering the history of the area and the people who were involved in the founding of the town. I enjoyed it.

“Have a Look Around”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2013

This is a small museum, but it's also free and very informative. It's a great place to brush up on the history of the area, from Joel Estes and his family settling there, then leaving, to its seemingly inevitable turn from ranching to tourism, to its awful flood which was so sadly recently repeated. Unfortunately, the projector was down when I was there, so I couldn't see the intro featuring Jay Leno, but I still had a nice time, and the buildings behind the main museum really added to the experience. All in all, a great way to kick off your time in Estes Park!

“Nice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2013

Very nice local museum, with no entrance charge. It is supported by the city and well done. Plenty of history and relics to read about and view. Very pleasant and informative staff.
