We stayed here two nights and overall it was convenient to everything to do in Estes park and was cheap enough. It is not the ritz but the staff is very nice and helpful and the bed was soft. The a/c was touchy but worked okay with some tlc

We stayed just one night and booked it because it was the cheapest place in Estes Park we could find. We stayed in a retro room, old fashioned, but clean and tidy.
It had two queen sized beds, clean sheets and towels. Plus nice toiletries, not the cheap stuff you sometimes get. The people at reception were helpful and pleasant.
We didn't use the pool.

We spent two nights at the Coyote Mountain Lodge based on their misleading advertising pictures of their rooms. The rooms were old and tired. Furniture is old and the floor of the tub/toilet area was old vinyl and dirty in the corners. The bottom of the white tub was black from worn in dirt. The toilet barely flushed and the seat was chipped in many places. The exhaust fan was extremely loud and could not be turned on at night unless you wanted to wake up your partner. The bathroom door kept sticking, it was very difficult to open. The air-conditioner froze up during the first night and had to be defrosted. Those are the negatives. The positives are the bed and pillows were good. The Refrig., Microwave, and coffee maker were new. If you are looking for a Cheap room this is it. This is not a place to stay if you are accustomed to luxury.

Room Tip: There is no restaurant or room service. Stay somewhere else and pay a few extra dollars. This place...

Thank you for your suggestions. If we had known that you wanted a newly updated room we would have done everything in our power to make that change for you. Our retro rooms are kept very clean by our incredibly hardworking cleaning staff. We may not be able to improve every variable of our business at the moment, but our philosophy is to put 110% into the variables we do have control over. In other words, cleanliness and customer service are paramount in our organization. If you are not used to retro-furnishing it is very understandable that it may appear less than acceptable to your standards due to age and wear. We bought the hotel 18 months ago, saving it from foreclosure. Since we can only renovate during our winter season we are projecting completion over the next few winters. Our 70's style retro bathrooms are very diverse in their coloring. Some of the bathrooms have a pink sink with a purple toilet, and many of the showers and baths have unique colors from room to room. The professional real estate photographer who planned our web image was following an industry standard of complete representation with an emphasis on the direction we are investing in. In other words, she is putting our best foot forward in trying to convey Coyote's brand image, while showing at least one example of each room's overall style. The retro bath in our online photos is one of several rooms that does have matching white amenities. Thanks to your suggestions we have decided to add more photos of our retro style rooms and bathrooms. Please give us the opportunity to better serve you during your next stay in beautiful Estes Park, and we really do appreciate your comments and suggestions. Thank you!

To all future guests: Please let us know how to make you comfortable before and during your visit with us so that we can do our best to improve your comfort and overall Estes Park experience. Thank you.

This place is super friendly and has a great location. The room we stayed in had not been remodeled yet but it was perfect for us. Only lacking a small refrigerator. The place was clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff showed us our room before we committed to staying the night. They have a pool and hot tub. The price was perfect and a good value for Estes Park. We would definitely stay again.

Wow, thank you so much for your very nice review! We love getting feedback from our guests, especially ones which mention our nice, friendly staff. In our opinion, it is definitely the most important compliment we can receive!

We purchased this older property just last year and have been working hard and fast to improve it as much as we can. It is our goal to provide the best budget lodging in an otherwise very expensive resort town.

Since we’re a “young” property, we will be constantly seeking feedback and making adjustments for many years so please come back soon and let us know that you’ve stayed before and we’ll set you up!

Thanks again for taking the time to write us. We really appreciate it!

Lodge.is under new management and trying to get back on it's feet. Great friendly helpful staff. Motorcyclist friendly. Not the newest accommodations but very comfortable. Pool is super clean! Only :( ... no breakfast. Priced for the budget.

Hi and thanks for taking the time to send us your review! We are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay! Yes, we DO love motorcyclists, they're always nice, mellow and fun.

We are currently contemplating providing breakfast for our winter guests. Hot oatmeal maybe! Come check us out when the snow starts falling but drive your car and be safe!

The Coyote is a great place to stay for value, location and amazing views.
The staff is so kind. I enjoy the location right on the bike trail for my morning runs. Great place for the money. You can tell they are trying hard to make changes to the place and I couldn't ask for more! Worth the money!!

Thank you so much for this nice review. We took over this property over a year ago, and we have plans to renovate as many rooms as possible during each slow season. We look forward to seeing you again soon. :)

An older motel as others have said. Being upgraded. Room was basic but had everything we needed including a frig. The WiFi was a bit slow in our room. Might be better in others. It was fast enough though that we could watch a movie. I had an accident hiking and bloodied some towels which I reported to the desk. They couldn't have been nicer. I really appreciated their understanding. There are some free snacks at the office, available for guests We made our reservation (without realizing it) through Booking dot com. We probably paid more than if we had gone direct but it was still a bargain.

Room Tip: We were in 115 which is a first floor room near the office. Quite and convenient.

Thanks so much for your nice review! We bought this motel in February 2012 and have been busy renovating ever since. It's going to be a five year project! We are constantly troubleshooting and "tweeking" things like the wi-fi, cable TV, etc as we get feedback from our guests and the staff.

Please do visit us again when you return to Estes and mentioned you've stayed here before and we'll upgrade you!
