I stayed in Oct 07, and found the staff to be warm and friendly. The rooms were neat and clean, not fancy, but very well kept. I was given information about the surrounding area and events, and given some great locations to view the elk, which proved to be accurate. In the morning, I looked out the south-facing window, and saw three deer feeding off the lawn right outside, not more than 10 feet away!! Awesome location for viewing the wildlife! Great place, and I definately recommend it to friends!

I did not even get a chance to stay here. However, during my phone conversations the receptionist was very rude and disrespecful. And in looking at the other negative reviews, it appears that their bad personal attitudes towards customers is reflective in all other apects of the experience.

Estes Park is too beautiful of a place - and there are plenty of other courteous, clean and affordable overnight stay options. Don't give this place a chance to ruin the experience.

Our family reserved a non-smoking room for two nights by phone directly with the hotel. When we arrived, the room smelled very smokey, but were assured it was non-smoking. It also had NO air-conditioning. This information wasn't given to me when making the reservation or I wouldn't have paid $115 for a room with two small windows and screens that didn't fit. There was a ceiling fan that helped a little after dark, but the days were very sticky. Next time we will choose to pay a little more for a better room.

I was dissatisfied with our room because it was not very big, much smaller than was pictured. There was no air conditioning, it was sparsely furnished and three of the light bulbs were burned out. The swimming area was very dirty and the swimming pool was full of bugs. I do not know why they had a swimming pool if they did not want to keep it clean. The location of the motel was good, close to everything and to Lake Estes. We did have a small refrigerator which was nice.
