5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2012

We have stayed here several times and will not stay anywhere else unless we have to. Everything is kept in great shape and the host, Betsy is the best. The serenity of being right next to the Fall River and the quality of the logding make the Woodlands a perfect place to relax and recharge your batteries. We have woken up to deer, elk, and turkey right across the river. Woodburning fireplaces with a bundle of wood provided every day is just icing on the cake. We love it.

Room Tip: We stay in #8, which is on the river side and farthest away from the driveway and office which makes...

I booked this condo based on the great reviews and was not disappointed. I am happy to say that this property and management are very deserving of all the great reviews!

The location is wonderful. It is halfway between the town of Estes Park and the Fall Creek entrance to RMNP. We loved being away from all the tourist traffic and loved being close to the reason we came on this trip (RMNP). The condo was very clean, with a comfortable king sized bed, and all the appliances were new. (The pictures on the website are very good. What you see is what you get!)

Our unit was on the bottom and was very peaceful and quiet. The river running through the front of the property is beautiful and the sound is very tranquil. We loved sitting in the chairs by the river!

Before our trip, there were wildfires in the area and the manager was so kind to communicate with me and keep me abreast of the situation. (Thanks Betsy!)

The only reason I deducted a star is that the sofa bed was not in good working order and very uncomfortable. That was our teenage son's bed for three nights and the springs at the foot of the bed were broken and a cushion was torn. I really think it is time to upgrade the pull-outs to better quality pieces of furniture for the third person in the unit.

Other than the sofa issue, we had a wonderful stay and would stay here again.

Room Tip: We were in the next to the last building on the bottom and it was very quiet.

This is our fourth stay at The Woodlands and each time it just gets better. Ron and Betsy continue to upgrade a few things each year and the results are great. Extremely close to the Fall River entrance to RMNP (about 3 minutes) and about 8 minutes to Beaver Meadow entrance. We always get a two bedroom unit. 4 units have two bedrooms and 12 are one bedroom units. The units are actually small apartments with everything included: soaps, coffee, all utinsels, pot, pans etc. The living room has a new leather recliner and a new over stuffed couch, along with a new 37" flat screen. This couch turns into a bed if needed. The Fall River is about 10 steps away and it is really neat to come home after hiking, shopping, etc and grab an adult beverage, book and go flop in one of the property wooden settees and watch the hummingbirds and listen to the River.
The Woodlands is the only place to stay if you want something real nice and relaxing! Everything is taken care of - all you need to do is ENJOY!

This was our first visit to RMNP & I wouldn't stay any where else. Laid out nicely only 16 rooms. All rooms face river so that's what you hear If I could change anything I wish it was off the road alittle more but that's impossible because your up against the mountain. The staff was very friendly and helpful and unlike many employees today seemed to enjoy their job and was willing to be helpful for anything you need. Would definetly return.

Stayed in Estes Park for a family wedding.
Woodlands Inn is in a great location for both Rocky Mtn Nat'l Park and the town.
The staff was extremely helpful, answered every questions.
The balcony and the grill were used every day.
All the amenities you could ask for.

This place is great! All suites have their own private balcony that overlooks the river. We spent many hours sitting outside just listening to it. We could also hear the river at night when we left the window open. The rooms are very spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is great - only a few miles from downtown Estes Park and a few miles from the entrance of RMNP. Next time we visit Estes Park we will stay here! I can't think of one complaint!

The website can't tell you how great this place is! Centrally located between Estes Park (2 miles) and RMNP (3 miles) it has everything we were looking for. We stayed on the lower level steps from the river. The sounds of the water was so relaxing and if that wasn't enough they hung hummingbird feeders in the tree outside our door so we could watch these beautiful playful birds as you drank our morning coffee on the patio. The staff was more than friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend this jewel as a great value and place whenever staying in Estes Park.
