“Adequate room, excellent staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2013

This was the second time we used the Silver Moon and both stays were fine. We stayed in the newer building the first time (2009) and in the older building this time. This room, that had the kitchenette, was certainly adequate for space and supplied utensils, etc. and while we noticed the decor seemed to be "modern confused update" the only downside was the noisy mini-fridge which threatened to ruin our sleep. That was remedied by icing our food in a cooler overnight and shutting off the fridge. Problem solved, sleep accomplished!

Thank you for the review about the staff! We are all very passionate about our jobs and the Silver Moon Inn! We are currently in the process of changing the pictures and duvet bed covering in the room that you stayed in. We are constantly updating our rooms! In addition, we have gone through each room to check the refrigerators. Thank you for the input, as it is almost summer and we are trying to get everything running smoothly before our busy season begins! If you have any additional input, please contact me at info@silvermooninn.com. We look forward to seeing you again!

5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

We stayed at the Silver Moon Inn the first weekend of May 2013. We had wanted a place near RMNP so we could visit with our son who was flying in from Seattle. We only stayed there one night, because we were planning on spending the other night in Boulder as well. We enjoyed our stay here, as short as it was. Our room was clean, well furnished, and comfortable. It looked like the furnishings were rather new. (Room 312). When we were looking at this hotel initially many of the prior reviews seemed to nitpick about little things. I don't think we had any issues at all. If you want the "Weston" experience, go stay at a Weston. This was a nice, clean rustic inn near RMNP within walking distance of the town of Estes Park. That was what we expected and that is what we got. It was still kind of "off season" when we stayed there, so maybe we didn't get the full experience. Estes Park wasn't too "alive" but I expect that changes as spring unfolds more and moves into summer in this little resort town. They had received about a foot of snow the Wed before we got there. (May 1st), so maybe that kept people away.

Thank you for the review! We do update our rooms each year. This year, we added new tiles in the bathrooms, as well as some new furniture. New duvets should be arriving soon as well. Many travelers look for a chain, or "Weston" feel when on vacation. However, Estes Park is more of a rustic mountain town, and we pride ourselves on being a boutique, mountain hotel. Thank you for your review and we hope to see you again soon!

Staff was very curtious and awesome they were really helpfull with alot of things, the continental breakfast was great and we would come back and stay and recomend this hotel to anyone. Also visit the Big Horn Restaurant around the corner they have outstanding food and you get big quanities so sharing is recomended.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

Our group of four adults and three kids stayed in the room #200 (3 queen bedroom suite). The room was perfect and included two full size futons in addition to the beds. The suite was really clean and had everything we needed including wood for fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen. Tastefully decorated with plenty of linens and extra pillows and blankets.

We loved the location!!! It is an easy walk to downtown Estes Park for shopping and dinner. The staff were all very courteous and helpful. We were provided with information on were to eat lunch as well as where to go for the day to explore Rocky Mountain National Park. Also, we loved being greeted by the owner's friendly poodle in the lobby.

I highly recommend the Silver Moon Inn for anyone looking for a convenient location, friendly staff and a clean comfy room. Can't wait to return next time we head to Estes Park for a getaway.

We stayed at the Silver Moon Inn in Estes Park Co. in March 2013. We all ways have a great time there. The rooms are very clean and the staff is very professional and welcoming. They serve you breakfast in the lobby and allowing pets is a perk. The Big Thompson River runs right in front of the hotel. You can here the river running and smell the pine trees. A wonderful place to stay.

Room Tip: The hotel is in walking distance to the town. All rooms have a great view. The rooms are very quiet...

4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

My dh and I traveled to Estes Park in June of 2012. We were looking for a hotel that was walking distance to all of the shops and restaurants in the downtown area. Silver Moon Inn was an excellent choice for that reason alone. We had what I believe was one of the value rooms on the top floor. It was big enough for the two of us, queen bed, mini fridge, a/c worked wonderfully for the warm weather. We had no issues with noise being on the top floor. We took advantage of the pool and hot tub, and they were clean and enjoyable. The hot tub was perfect for soaking in after a long day of hiking. Continental breakfast was more than enough for us. There was plenty of juice, water, baked goods, and fruit. One day we needed to get water shoes for a white water rafting trip. In asking the front desk what stores in Estes Park might sell these, they suggested a sport/hiking shop downtown. It was really expensive, and not what we were looking for -- just needed cheap water shoes for one time use. Luckily, we checked out the Safeway and they had them for $10! So just a note to anyone who might need to find something cheap like sandals or something you forgot at home --the local grocery store has more than you might think.

Room Tip: Choose a room on the top floor to avoid noise.

We are glad that you enjoyed your stay here! Our location is excellent. We are actually the closest hotel to the downtown area. Thank you for adding in the part about water shoes. We will definitely pass that on to future guests. Things are marked up quite a bit downtown!

We were so happy to find this room with a fireplace!! We were hoping the pictures on the website matched the room and we were pleased when it did :) The staff was very friendly and let us check in a little early. The room was spotless and remodeled! Only bad things: we could hear when the people upstairs would turn the shower on & off and flushed the toilet, every time the heater turned on there was a long high pitched noise, & finally the wind was intense that weekend so we could hear it even though the door was closed. Overall, we would love to stay here again.

Thank you for the review! We are glad that you enjoyed your room. We are currently working with a sound engineer to fix the noise issues. However, it is an older building and it is taking some time because we want to make sure sound control is done correctly. We look forward to seeing you again!
