“Best Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2012

Best location if you want to stay in town. Downtown restaurants and shops really are within easy walking distance. The rooms are older but clean. Our room was on the 1st floor and yes, you can sometimes hear walking from the room above but I did not find it intrusive. The breakfast is basic and quite consistent with others in similar non-chain hotels. If you want a full breakfast there are a few places open for breakfast within walking distance. You really can not beat getting up early, grabbing some juice and sitting outside in a chair along the river. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Excellent rooms, service and location. Very clean and comfortable.

My only (minor) complaint was the hotel's cable didn't have ESPN. That's right, no ESPN. Had NBC Sports Channel and ESPN U, but not the regular ESPN channel. So, no Sportscenter, and I was there during the NBA conference finals and the Stanley Cup finals.

Room Tip: Check out the hotel's website. Great info and photos for most rooms. Staff was very helpful, too...

We loved our river view king sized room and were able to enjoy the fire, the river and the walk close to downtown during our stay. We loved relaxing in the hot tub after our drive over Trail Ridge Road. Thanks to the helpful and friendly staff.

We had a room on the first floor with a small private patio outside. We read, in other ratings, that many people felt that there was a lot of noise. Our end of the Inn was very quiet, and the only time that we heard much was when people walked up and down the stairs outside. We were there Memorial Day weekend and the No Vacancy sign suggested a full house. The room was pretty basic, sort of a hunting lodge motif. The bed was too firm for me. The room came with a TV, refrigerator and a microwave. All that aside, the best part was being able to walk 10 feet out the front door and sit in a nice big chair right beside a small river/creek. The sounds of the rapids at night were pure music. With a few trees and bushes, it felt like being out in the woods. Yet, shopping was just a block away. Not having to find parking is a huge benefit. A small continental breakfast is provided with bottled juices, packaged pastries, fruit, cereals and coffee. A nice side perk is that they always had a supply of cold, bottled water available in the office. The pool and hot tubs were open, but the 50 degree days were too cool for me to try them out. On one weekend night, a local singer set up and did a lot of country tunes. With a little exploration, you can head up Spruce Street to the 34 Highway bypass to avoid going through town if you need to get to local grocery and other stores. If you head west from the Inn, its only about 3 miles to the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park.

Room Tip: We loved being on the first floor so we could enjoy sitting by the stream in just steps

Perfect location in town and close to RMNP. Beautiful spot right on the river at a fair rate.

Wonderful place to stay in Estes Park--beautiful sitting area outside at the river--ducks, chipmunks, and birds were great entertainment. Very easy walk to downtown Estes Park. Front desk clerk gave excellent help in selecting a restaurant for dinner. Room was roomy & clean & very nice. We had a 2 bedroom room with kitchen area--only wished we could have gotten the 2 bath unit, but it was all good. They even had it ready for an early ck. in--thanks!! Breakfast was really nice, good selection of treats & very good coffee. We would stay here again and look forward to next time! (gave the fitness center only a 3 because we didn't look for it or use it!)

We stayed at Silvermoon motel during our trip to the Rocky Mountains. The place was clean and perfectly located in town. My 20 month old son loved the creek and the play area out front.
