“A good deal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2011

I booked this place based on the reviews I saw here and I wasn't disappointed. It's not the Four Seasons, but you pay a good price for convenience to downtown and Rocky Mountain National Park.

Pros:
-The room was VERY clean. My husband always does a detailed inspection for bed bugs (we don't want to bring home more than souvenirs) and he said it was one of cleanest places we've stayed.
-HOT showers with good water pressure. After hiking in the cold all day it was great the come back to.
-Heater worked well.
-We didn't deal with the staff much, but they were nice when we checked in and out.
-Fridge, coffeemaker. A lot of places in the area don't offer that.

Cons:
-The motel is built up from the ground a bit to accomodate for piping, so you can hear people in other rooms walking around. It didn't bother us too much since everyone went to bed early and the heater drowned out the noise.

Overall, if we were to ever go back to Estes Park we would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: All the rooms are on the first floor so try to get one that's on a corner so you don't have...

Stayed 3 days here. Easy to get down town, and easy to get to any of the National Park entrances. Resturants were handy and good. Lighting struck nearby and put out the TV.
The owner was there in a flash to fix it. The pool is small, but not a joke. Room was clean but small. We were in it only to sleep & bathe, so we didn't need anything big. Staff was more than courteous and helpful. Maybe it was cindy f who was rude

We had the family unit as we had 6 adult family members traveling together. They were very accommodating to our needs. The room was very clean. Pool and hot tub were great after a long day on the road. Would recommend this lodge to anyone.

I stayed here for 6 days last week, with my son and daughter. The owners were so nice and very helpful. The lodge is not a fancy place but it was perfect for us. We were gone out hiking everyday so we were only sleeping here and getting out early every morning. We had a room with a kitchenette that worked out great for us to make our breakfast in the morning. the room was nice and clean with a really comfortable bed (wonderful after hiking in the mountains all day). We enjoyed the hot tub every evening as well.
The location was close to town - just a few minutes in a car and we also ate 2 nights at the Peak to Peak Grille down the street, which was delicious and away from the crowds in town.

This small hotel is 1950's style, but perfectly adequate for visiting Rocky Mountain National Park. It is basic, but clean and quiet. You are not walking distance to Estes Park's restaurants, shops, etc. but it is no more than a 2-3 minute drive and there is plenty of parking in town.

A friend stayed at the Comfort Inn and spent about $60 more per night and we both agreed Peak to Peak Lodge was just as nice and a better value.

Cell phone signals are spotty throughout the area - Safeway parking lot has the most dependable signal.
