“Estes Park Resore”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012

Stayed one night and ate dinner in their dining room. Suggest asking for the 3rd floor overlooking a small lake and Rockey Mountains. The resort has been recently renovated, but I would say that the room was average overall. Dinner was also average. The location is near the small town of Estes, so I believe it was in a good location. I would stay their again.

Hi Candy,
Thank you for allowing us the pleasure of serving your travel needs while in Estes Park. While I am pleased to hear that you would stay with us again, I admit, I am disappointed regarding your feedback that our guest rooms and your dining experience with us were only average. Our expectations of ourselves is higher than that, and if you have the opportunity to contact me directly - I would love to hear your ideas of your opinions and ideas of what would improve us from average - to great! We value all our guest feedback, and often improvements we make are directly related to the customer feedback we have received. Thank you for staying with us, and I hope to hear from you soon. In the meantime - Safe travels.

My husband and I got married here on 10-11-12. Our room was awesome, although some confusion about booking it at the beginning. Also, it was roomy and looked right over our wedding site. Ate at the restaurant and it was superb. Only real complaint was not knowing what to do prior to the wedding. No one really instructed me in what time to go down and then photographer came and told us I was late. Other than that, it was a magical experience!

Our son was recently married at the Estes Park Resort and the ceremony and reception were perfect! Jaime (sp?) was kind, helpful and proactive in solving the inevitable issues that arise in any large gathering. She even ordered up some fine weather for us - thanks!

Room Tip: The garden rooms are really basement rooms with daylight windows.

We stayed at the Estes Park Resort in August 2012, and had a wonderful time. The hotel has beautiful views and the rooms are nice and spacious. It's very convenient to Rocky Mountain National Park and downtown Estes Park. We asked the hotel staff for some quick hikes near the hotel and they were very helpful and offered maps and routes nearby. The only semi-negative aspect to the hotel is that the balconies are not private, which really didn't bother us. We will definitely stay here in the future.

Hello rooroo,
Thank you for being our guest! I am very pleased to hear you enjoyed your time with us, and that our building and services were to your liking. One note to let you be aware of - due to feedback from yourself and others, we are actively in the process of seeing what it will take to separate our balconies. I hope we can have this concern resolved very quickly, and that the next time you are in Estes Park, you will join us again to see the results of these actions. Thank you again for your stay, and for the feedback!

My husband and I stayed for two nights in early October. We hadn't been to Estes Park in many years so we hoped the resort would meet our expectations. We had a 3rd floor lakeside room that was very nice. Bed was comfy and had nice linens. Everything was clean and smelled clean. We missed a DVD player and the TV channels were limited but that would be our only complaint. We ate several times at the restaurant. The food was very good. We really enjoyed the Sunday brunch. It was nice to have an indoor pool and workout room to use. The staff was friendly and helpful. The highlight of our stay was two beautiful sunsets off our balcony and an elk in the parking lot the morning we had to leave. We would recommend this resort to our family and friends.

Room Tip: Lakeside rooms on the 3rd floor have a great view.

We stayed here for 2 nights for a friend's wedding (the wedding was not at the hotel). The staff was incredibly friendly and the room was comfortable (though nothing worth writing home about - yes, the sink area is next to the bed, separate from the toilet & bath/shower). We ended up eating 2 meals (lunch & dinner) at the resort restaurant. While the food wasn't special, again the staff was very friendly & accomodating.

Hello azgal_33:

Thank you for staying with us, and allowing us to serve your travel needs while in Estes Park for your friend's wedding. We receive both positive, and not so positive feedback about having our sink and vanity outside of the bathroom. While perhaps a bit unusual, I feel confident that for those families trying to have multiple people get ready at the same time - having a fog free mirror can sometimes be a nice thing due to its placement outside of the bathroom. I hope you found that while perhaps a bit unconventional, it wasn't any inconvenience for you. Thank you again for allowing us the honor of serving you, and I hope you will consider us again the next time you are in Estes.

The rooms by the lake have a very nice view. Signage made the place a little hard to find at the beginning, but it's the last place on the road if you can't find it. Bedding was very nice and the room clean. Prices were reasonable but not great for off season. The desk service was always available and knowledgable.

Hi Barney,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience here with others, and even more for being our guest! I'm not sure exactly when you stayed with us, but please know that in late September, we installed a brand new sign, so everyone driving on Highway will now have a much easier time finding both our Estes Park Resort, and our Waterfront Grille & Lounge. I'm sorry if you had any trouble finding us, I hope this will resolve that concern. I hope we can serve your travel needs again the next time you make your way up to Estes Park. Happy travels!
