“A Small Gem, Hidden in Estes Park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2012

If I told you about a hotel, with only 6 room, hidden behind the back of a couple of resturants, no real sign on the street, no free breakfast, no pool, you would probably run from the place. If you did, you would miss a real hidden gem of a hotel.

This place had one of the nicest rooms of our entire trip. I usually only book rooms in hotels that have indoor hallways but it was really nice to park right in front of our door. When I think of a place with an outdoor entrance, I think of a small, tight room with a layout similar to a Super 8 or EconoLodge. Maybe a bit of stale air in the room. Not so with this gem. Being a bit off the main road, the room was very quiet.

The room size was very large. You walk into the room and the first think you see is the fireplace, and a beautifully make bed with decor pillows. The gas fireplace really works, and we used it to heat the room and create that romantic feel that only a fireplace can give. The bed faces the fireplace. Bathroom is large and ultra clean, as was the whole room. The room is nicely decorated, and it is nice to have some real space. The bed and pillows were super comfortable, and we had a great night's sleep. While the office is only opened until 7pm, there is a phone number to call is you should need help.

There is a reasonably priced breakfast resturant just in front of the hotel. You walk about 30 steps to it. The hotel is located in the center of town. You are near everything.

So, if you want a somewhat different quaint hotel with a really nice room, give this place a try. You wil not be sorry.

The extremely spacious rooms were set up kind of strange, but very nice.We loved the ability to leave our car in the parking spot at the motel, and come and go on foot as we pleased. I cannot stress enough how much of a convenience that is. There are two restaurants, one a breakfast joint and the other a qdoba/chipotle knockoff, located right next door. We found our room quiet, clean, well appointed, spacious, and very comfortable. We would definitely like to stay there again!

This will definitely be my first choice next stay. Nice rooms and convienent location. The rooms have plenty of space, and are modern. You can walk across the parking lot for breakfast at the Egg and I. And then walk into town. No car needed until you head to RMNP. We enjoyed watching the bear in the dumpster behind the Egg and I. The main street is close but not bothersome. Not the place to stay if you want more than your room.

A couple of days before we arrived, I emailed to ask if we might be able to check in early or leave our bags with the Haber until the 3pm check in time, as we expected to arrive arround 11am. They replied that they could certainly look after our bags but couldn't promise an early check in. When we arrived though, our room was ready and we were able to check in right away. The room was large, very nice and well equiped with all the usuals and a fridge and microwave as well has a huge TV and free WiFi.

The location, just behind the Egg and I, is better than it sounds. Just behind the main street, deliveries to the Egg might or might not wake you but it's otherwise quiet and the views from the second story balcony and our window were stunning - mountains!!! Mind you, we didn't really see anywhere in Estes Park that didn't have good views. We weren't driving but it looks as though drivers would be glad of the Haber's parking included central location in high season.

Room Tip: Second story rooms have better views.

The outside of the building is rather plain but the rooms are very nice inside. There is reserved parking at the motel just behind 2 restaurants. It's a great location because it is right on the main street and is a close walk to everything. Although it is located near a busy intersection we did not have any problems with noise. The bed was very comfortable and having a mini fridge and microwave were a plus. This was a great place to stay!

Location is not the most scenic but more than compensated for by the convenience to shopping and restaurants. The spacious room was beautifully appointed; the bed very comfortable and the counterspace phenomenal!! Nice to have the microwave and fridge. After spending a day in RMNP, the Haber was a wonderful place to come back to relax (and enjoy the jacuzzi tub!!)

This gem of a property is tucked away behind a breakfast/lunch restaurant in downtown Estes Park. It looks a bit plain outside, but inside you will find extremely spacious accommodations, tastefully decorated and very comfortable bedding. There is even a fireplace and jetted tub (so nice to soak in after a long day of hiking). OK, I'm a woman, so I loved the extra room with its own sink and super long makeup table. TONS of storage space if you're staying for a while, microwave and fridge too. I stayed at 2 other properties in Estes during my visit, but this one was definitely my favorite. One other piece of advice: if you're thinking of booking a room here, don't wait too long. There are only 6 rooms (I think) and I would imagine they fill up quickly.

Room Tip: I doubt there is a bad room here. I had a king room. It was huge.
