My wife and I stayed for one night in the Blossom room, and it was fantastic. It is expensive, but you do get what you pay for.

The first thing you notice when you drive up is how close it is to Rocky Mountain National Park. You have a beautiful view of Deer Mountain across the road, and the grounds are covered in large pines (which is fantastic, considering it was built in 2008. I'm sure it would have been much easier and cheaper to clear out more trees. I'm glad they didn't).

The building itself is awesome, very well decorated, and high-end. Our room (The Blossom) was also decorated very well, you can tell that a lot of effort and expense went into making each room special. The bathroom is huge, and includes a waterfall fountain. I'd say the only downsides are that there are no doors to the toilet (for privacy) or the shower (for warmth).

The staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was fantastic (and they had no problem accommodating my unfortunate food allergies).

If you're looking for a high-end romantic getaway in Estes Park, this is it!

Room Tip: The Blossom has a view out the front of the building of Deer Mountain, which is very nice. The down...

Our son's marriage was held at Della Terra in Estes Park, Co. We arrived on a Friday afternoon and stayed till Sunday. Our stay was very nice. I must admit, we have never seen so many knobs in a shower but it was fun to figure them out. The breakfasts were very good and the overall experience was good. It is on the side of a mountain so parking is spread out, but the staff come by with golf carts and give rides to guests. I would recommend Della Terra.

Room Tip: Higher floors have less A/C unit noise

Spent three nights in the Autumn/Colours Suite the week of June 25. This was our second stay at Della Terra (last time was August 2010), at which time we stayed in the Horizon suite. Was a little disappointed with the Colours Suite (which is on the 2nd floor of the chateau), as there was a good bit of racket in the morning on other side of wall coming from kitchen. Much preferred the Horizon suite, located on the 3rd floor, with a more peaceful location in the chateau. I found the staff to be friendly and the accommodations very clean. Good complimentary/gourmet breakfast in the morning, however, they stop serving at 9:00 a.m, which is a little on the early side when you're on vacation. You can't beat the convenience of Della Terra's location to Rocky Mountain National Park. If you're looking for an upscale, romantic, B&B type accommodation, would definitely recommend.

We stayed in the Ballo Della Luna - Moon Dance, which is considered one of the attic suites. For the moment we arrived we felt as if we had the place to ourselves. The room was beautiful, clean and in excellent condition. We loved the cool color schemes and beautiful artwork. The room offers the ability to connect up your ipod/iphone and play your music throughout the suite and on to the balcony.

This suite offers a gorgeous view of Rocky Mountain National Park from the private balcony which also offers a hot tub.

We cannot wait to return!

Use caution when booking Della Terra for your stay or event. The accommodations on the website appear to be luxurious and spacious. It's far from that when you arrive in person. The rooms are very cramped and hallways in the chateau are only wide enough for one person to pass through them comfortably. The atmosphere was very cramped, almost had the feel of how much can we put into an area so that we can say we have a given amenity. The staff was very rude and seemed to have the attitude of give me your money and don't bother me or expect any level of service. The cabins have zero room cleaning during the stay. You have to completely clean your own cabin or you'll be billed for any cleaning other than towels and bedding. The hot tub was dingy and had an overwhelming smell of chlorine. A booklet in the cabin stated in large font “Guests are not entitled to use any amenities on the property.” The heater for the cabin was poorly ventilated and forced us to keep a window open to reduce the smell in the cabin. Showers in the cabin were so cramped that a 6 foot tall person will hit their head on the shower as there is no room to maneuver without hitting the shower head, or knocking the door of the shower open while trying to clean your lower body.

we were just came back from our vacation this June 2012, we stayed at Illumination for 5 nights , Della Terra is really something , however too many wedding events happened when we were there , supposed to be very quite above 10 pm but i heard lots of noises going on outside , they yelled and shouted ...we just hope that the regulations are followed , so other visitors not being bothered with it .....one more thing , please pay attention on the cleanliness as well , we still can look at the dirt of salt bath in our bath tub after they were cleaning up ....hope it will not happened again since we prefer things very clean and tidy during our stay ....

We have to many boundaries of walking around the chateau during our visit since wedding event pretty booked up , we got picked up by caddy cart and they sent us back to the chateau ...not really nice .....

over all the place and the room is worth to visit though ......

Room Tip: ilumination pretty good but the view is not just the way you are expected i guess

This is really a giant B&B. Nice rooms, nice breakfast, but no restaurant. This forces one to leave the property and search. They do have room service but will charge a 20% fee to bring the food to the room. It is full of rules.
$300.00 + per night. Way too expensive.
