“The Best in Estes Area”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2010

Lets face it, dining out in Estes Park is a problem. Most restaurants are bland and cater to the Nebraska crowd. If you want beer and burgers, no problem. Fine dining is another issue. Stay away from anything visible, they are all tourist traps and usually the food is not very good and service is OK at best. Take a nice 10 minute drive north to Glen Haven. The Glen Haven Inn is the best in the valley. Quaint, small, romantic. Excellent Food. Reasonably priced and service is good. Not for kids, save yourself the hassle and save the irritation for others. Casual dress, Colorado almost anything goes.

“Simply the best restaurant in the Estes Park area”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2009

Estes Park is a beautiful place to visit and/or live. Unfortunately, there are just not many great or even good restaurants to choose from when you want to enjoy a special meal. The Inn of Glen Haven is not only one of the few great places, in my opinion it is the best. We have celebrated many special occassions at the Inn and it never fails to live up to prior visits. The hardest part is deciding on that night's entree choice. I have tried almost every item on the menu and thoroughly enjoyed them all. Most recently we celebrated a wedding anniversary in September and both savored an excellent elk entree. The intimate atmosphere and uique decor compliments the dining experience. The wine and beer selections are very good, too.

“Great food but lacking follow-through.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2009

First of all, the food is terrific. The restaurant's follow-through is lacking. I had planned an anniversary dinner for several people and spent a lot of time and effort searching for the right place. Several things that were discussed and planned were not presented. We asked for a u-shaped table setup and it was not provided. There is a $17.50 minimum price for each person which was never discussed with me. There were menu issues as well. Eventually we were able to compromise and had a nice evening but the initial problems caused stress that should not have been a part of a very special evening. I do recommend this restaurant for couples and small groups but not large groups. Our wait person worked extremely hard to make everything happen.

“a memorable place for dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2009

The Inn of Glen Haven is a hidden gem in the Estes Park area.
There are a limited amount of tables so reservations are a must. It is truly a unique dining experience.
We arrived early so decided to have some wine in the small bar adjoining the dining room. There are interesting trinkets placed all over the Inn. Charming is the only word to describe it. The owner served our drinks and told us a little about the history of the Inn.
He has owned it for over 20 years.
We were seated at a window table and our waitress was wonderful... attentive with a good sense of humor.
Our entrees were the elk loin, rack of lamb, surf and turf and the salmon. All of the meals and side dishes were delicious.
It is not inexpensive, but I would highly recommend having dinner here. I consider it the best restaurant in the area.
