“WONDERFUL SURPRISE!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

Since 1978 my husband and I have stayed at the same place in Estes Park, each time we come out. For several reasons, we decided two years ago to find some place new, which is a challenge for me as I don't like to travel much and it's hard to find a place that makes me WANT to stay there. Well..... Stonebrook Resort is THAT PLACE... Home away from Home. Making reservations was very easy. We had to reschedule due to a family matter and Mike, the owner, was extremely accommodating. Speaking of Mike... we simply cannot say enough about him. He is wonderful, along with Bella, his beautiful black lab!! He feels like family! You couldn't ask for anyone better to deal with or to visit with when you are here. The room is extremely clean and ready. The gals that do the cleaning work are friendly and do a fantastic job. We were in unit 9A. the Jacuzzi was clean, the kitchen spotless and the bed is so comfy, I didn't want to get out of it this morning! We have decided that Stonebrook Resort is now where we will stay for our NEXT 30 years we come up to Estes Park. Please do yourself a favor and try this resort at least once. views are awesome, Fall River right behind the property, grills, easy access to Rocky Mountain National Park... Meet Mike and Bella. You'll count it a blessing in your life.

Room Tip: 9A unit is perfect for couples. Quiet, no street noise, perfect view of the trees and Fall River!

“Gorgeous setting, comfortable room, family feeling.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012

We stayed in 9a which was a large, comfortable, clean room with hot tub and fireplace in a rustic setting. We could hear the flowing river in the backyard which was a soothing sound at night. We can't say enough about Mike. One of us had an altitude problem during the stay and he couldn't have been more concerned and helpful. He has a giving personality and it shows in his work. This is not just a job for him. We would highly recommend Stonebrook Resort.

“Great place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2012

My husband and I stayed at the Stonebrook Resort in September in Cabin 1. Cabin 1 is the closest to the river and you can hear the babbling river in the cabin. The place was very clean and ready when we arrived early. We liked the layout of cabin 1 which has a few steps down to the kitchen and bath. It was a very easy drive to the park or to the town. The only downside was the bed. It is listed as a queen but is really more like a full size bed. The mattress is very soft which is not our preference. The fireplace and hot tub were great and we used both. Overall we loved the Stonebrook and would definitely return.

Room Tip: Cabin 1 is closest to the river. There are a few stairs going to the kitchen.

“Want to be there now”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2012

My husband and I had the best stay at this resort. Great location and value. My husband and I were able to relax and unwind. The river was so lovely and it was nice to wake up to the sound of it every morning. I loved the tub in the room too. I am pregnant and after a long day of hiking, the tub was perfect for my sore bones!

The only thing I didn't love was the Queen sized bed, as it felt a little smaller than a Queen. Otherwise, no complaints and wish I was there right now!

“Idyllic setting - not to be missed”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2012

My husband and I just spent Sept 28-30 here, and loved every minute of it! The property is just a 6-minute drive outside of town, and sits along an idyllic slice of the Fall River. We stayed in room 10-B, which was a roomy, two-story with a whirlpool tub, fully stocked kitchen, and balcony. The balcony overlooked the river, and the downstairs bedroom opened right onto a green belt along the river.

The sound of the river lulled us to sleep each night, and greeted us in the morning. From our balcony we saw beautiful blue jays, and a flock of wild turkeys ambled through the property in the morning.

The proprietor Mike was warm, welcoming, and extremely hospitable. His new "puppy" Bella is a delight, so make sure to seek her out, too!

Our only regret is that we didn't book for a longer stay. We will be back!

Room Tip: 10-B is a two story with downstairs bedroom, upstairs kitchenette, whirlpool tub, sitting area, and...
