“Excellent Vacation in Estes Park, CO”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2011

I spent a week in Estes Park CO for the Highland Festival September 2011. My family and I stayed at the Stonebrook Resort on Fall River. Everyone was blown away by the rooms, furnishings and outside areas. We were greeted by Linda and Buddy and shown our room (2 bed, full kitchen and private hot tub on the River!) The rooms were beautifully decorated; furniture and beds were comfortable, new and in a mountain theme. The outside areas included an outside patio with very nice outdoor seating for viewing/listening to the Fall River. There was a large and clean BBQ on the top patio which we grilled on. A few short steps and there was a second patio with a seating area and hot tub. The river was right there, very relaxing and beautiful place to enjoy after the festival, hiking or shopping down town. The property extends a long way on the river with places to sit and relax (hammocks set up for your use). You can also access hiking trails from the resort. I am very picky about accommodations and can say this resort was immaculate and well appointed. The manager Mike made us feel at home and was very helpful with ideas on activities and dining. I have already booked another stay for the fall.

This is our third year staying here and love it because it's right on the Fall River, and our balcony overlooks it and you can hear the river which is soothing for sleep. Comfy bed and kitchenette, fireplace and big whirlpool tub. 3 miles from Rocky Mountain National Park and close to town.

The place is small and quiet. It's very clean and updated. The hosts are friendly and very helpful. It doesn't get better than this and we've experienced several motels in the area. It's very welcoming and lovely.

Room Tip: Room 10B is large with lots of room. It will sleep and house 4 comfortably and you won't be in...

I stayed at the Stonebrook September 1-4. Cottage 16 was a wonderful 2bedroom that is with in a stones throw to a running stream. The rustic ambiance of all the decor was a refreshing change from the usual hotel furnishings. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was top quality. I left the windows open to listen to the sound of the stream. There was a great hot tub on the back patio as well as a jacuzzi in the second bedroom. The location was great to the entrance of the national park as well as a quick dash to downtown. The staff was welcoming and accommodating .

My husband and I celebrated our 12th anniversary here. It was exactly what we were looking for - a stream right outside so we could hear the water all night, a jacuzzi tub in the room, light and airy room that was inviting and cozy all at once. I am so glad we picked the Stonebrook Resort! The grounds are beautiful, the rooms clean and well-designed with a kitchenette and fabulous porch overlooking the river. Mike was incredibly helpful and even gave us hiking advice that fit our needs perfectly! Definitely stay here! The rates are incredibly affordable for the quality!

Room Tip: We stayed in room 9B, which was a small suite, and perfect for us. The larger rooms look great for f...

The location is on the river. It is beautiful and Mike (the resort manager) will ensure that you have a most enjoyable time. The rooms are very clean and the grounds are well kept. We liked it so much, we extended our stay and look forward to a yearly reunion. -Tom & Pam

We stayed 3 nights in Suite 9B and the only bad thing was that we couldn't stay longer! Accomodations were very nice. Full kitchenette and grill for cooking, dining table in the room and one on the deck - where most of our meals were eaten, nice soft cozy bed and of course the sound of running water to fall alseep and wake up to each day. The location is perfect. Just off the main highway enough that you don't have any traffic noise or lights shining in your room.
