“Unexpected gem!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2013

I was not expecting much when we booked a room at this Econo Lodge. Just wanted something reasonable for a couple of nights that was close to town. But the staff was great, it was clean and their breakfast was really good.
An unexpected gem!

We totally love staying here! Great price and great services. Rooms are impeccably clean, the staff is very friendly and they go out of their way to accommodate everyone. Their shuttle service is very helpful getting around and you can also rent bikes if you want to explore the Old town, or walk. We ll deff come here again, we LOVED it!

Room Tip: We had non smoking, was very clean and well kept, 100% happy with it :)

This is a very clean motel-like place. We do not mind, its location is one block from the Old Town. Its interesting they will recommend you to go to a restaurant in the Plaza, don't know the connections, We tried it out of curiosity and its a good one. However there are so many great restaurants there including the Garcia's café on Central Ave. The breakfast is very good for this budget hotel. They have yoghurt, biscuit and gravy, cereals, scrambled egg and bacon. Their indoor pool is small but we don't need a lot. We have a room on the ground floor so we could park our car in front of the room, which is nice, but you could hear people walking etc. We stayed there for 3 nights and this is just perfect for our needs. If you don't need a fancy hotel, this is it!

With an easy walk to the old town centre this motel provides everything you could need at a very competitive price. We had a King Suite which was very comfortable with good bed, linens and towels. An added bonus was a breakfast that far outstripped the normal offerings at budget hotels. Would definitely stay here again, if in the Albuquerque area.

This place may not look like much from the outside, but the folks here are very hospitable, the rooms are comfortable and clean, the breakfast is plenty, and with the amenities in the room plus the room rates we got for our king suite, this is a great deal.

Upon first meeting, picked up by courtesy car. Prompt service. Eager to serve. Friendly!!! Cannot give a better review to any other hotel, the service is genuine. Cleanliness is priority. Rooms are aired for freshness daily. Personnel cleaning all day. Shuttle service available upon request, having called ahead, shuttle met us at midnight. Owners bent over backwards to accommodate us. Hospitality exceptional.

We stayed here for one night on our way through to Texas. We had read the other reviews of this property before booking, so we were aware that it was an older place, but we were happily surprised to find it in good repair, and it was exceptionally clean as well.

As mentioned by others, the customer service went above and beyond, from the time we checked in, until we left the next morning. They were very pleasant and accomodating, and when we checked out (after a FABULOUS breakfast -- biscuits & gravy, sausage, bacon, eggs, cereal, danish & muffins, juice, yogurt, fruit, etc), they sent us on our way with extra fruit for the road for our kiddos to snack on.

The pool was fun to enjoy with our children the evening we got there, and we didn't find it to be too busy, so that was nice. Again, the area was kept very clean with plenty of extra towels.

The only problem we really encountered was the in-room fridge -- it didn't get very cold, so our water bottles weren't very cold when we left the next morning. However, because we didn't have perishable food, it wasn't really a huge deal for us.

The beds were super comfortable. I brought my own pillow up to the room, because their pillows were on the thin side, but I always sleep better on my own pillow anyway.

I would definitely recommend this hotel for those who are looking for a clean, economical place to stay where you'll be treated right.

Room Tip: We stayed on the 2nd floor near the main street, and didn't have any problems with traffic noise...
