La Quinta almost always offers good value for the money. We stayed here for this reason as well as the fact that it is on the West side of town. We were able to avoid much of the rush hour traffic by staying here.

Check-in was quick and friendly. Room was large enough and bathroom very large. Both were also very clean. Room came with free wifi, and it worked fine. We could never find out how to adjust the temp in the room. The thermostat didn't work, yet the room was a constant 72 degrees. It was fine, but I would have lowered it for sleeping if I could have done it. We never heard a blower or anything so don't know where the heat even came from (weird). Beds were comfortable and on the soft side.

Breakfast was complimentary and was in the lobby area. Something for everyone available and restocked when it ran out.

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in especially since I have pets that travel with me. I have never seen a hotel so pet friendly. I will never stay in any other hotel unless I can not find a La Quinta in that town and then I may drive to another town just so I would be able to stay in a La Quinta hotel.

This property is was mixed experience. On the positive, the room was very clean, nicely appointed, comfortable bed, very good flat screen TV, and very clean bathroom. It is also located conveniently close to I-40 on the west side of Albuquerque, at the Coors Blvd exit. Staff was cordial. On the negative side, while the room was exceptionally clean and modern, the rest of the unit suffered from various levels of wear and disrepair. The elevator was abused with grafitti scratched into the panels. Metal trim was tranished and stained. Wood veneer was chipped off in places. We were on the fourth floor, and the hallways had a heavy odor of cigarette smoke. Much of the common areas and entry ways were somewhat tired and could use some attention. They did have a very large breakfast area but it seems that is occupied the area that would normally be a lobby sitting & common area. Breakfast was the typical high carbohyrdrate offering, but they did have a waffle maker that has become standard fare at most hotels/motels with breakfast. So, in summary, if you can look past general maintenance disrepair, and focus on the room, this is not a bad unit. However, the room cost us $86, which is about standard for a property like this. So it is reasonable for the price but nothing above average. If you are traveling westbound, and want to avoid the congested Albuquerque rush hour traffic on I-40 in the mornings, this unit will place you well to get on your way the next morning. This is also the last area for multiple hotels selection before heading out onto the long, open stretches of I-40 across western New Mexico.

Room Tip: They do accept pets and add the usual nominal fee for the priviledge.

I was travelling with a friend and decided to stay here as it was good location and cheap enough compared to some other hotels.
We arrived to be greeted by friendly and helpful guy on the front desk who checked us in quickly and efficiently.
The rooms were perfect very clean and laid out well with 2 double beds, desk TV and a very spacious bathroom.
There is many restaurants near by to choose from some within walking distance others just 5 minutes in the car. Also a shopping mall just 15 minutes away for anyone wanting to shop.
Having this been my first stay in a La Quinta I would definitely stay in one again but also recommend this one for anyone in the area.
