“This place is ghetto!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2013 via mobile

This place is pretty ghetto! There was a drunk mom at the bar with her kids. The resteraunt isnt even open on the weekends and all that is available is like snack bar food. Also, the hotel itself smelled really gross. Service desk clerk at night was not helpful at all! There are way better places to stay in Albuquerque!

Wow, this was such a fantastic place! The price was right, and the Indian décor was way over the top! We were originally only going to stay one night, but since this hotel really was so outstanding, we decided to stay another night -- we're sure glad we did! I mean, what's the sense of staying in the same ol' hotel you see everywhere else throughout the country when you can stay here at the Nativo Lodge with that great Indian Southwestern style! The rooms were spotless and the mountain view was amazing. When we come back to Albuquerque, we'll definitely stay here again! It was great!!

Room Tip: Try to get a mountain view room, although the rooms facing the valley were spectacular, too, with al...

I was just there 2 weeks ago.I was in town from Los Angeles and stayed there for a friday and saturday. I must say it was a pretty unique hotel. They had an artist paint a mural in my room and I thought it was pretty cool they got a little creative with the decorating of the place. I loved there indoor outdoor pool it definitely a pleasant stay. Very peaceful and all the employes were extra nice to me. So i would have to recommend this hotel for anyone who comes into town to visit and needs a hotel to stay at.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

We recently completed our second stay at the Nativo Lodge, having had a comfortable stay for a few days last December. When we entered our assigned non-smoking room on the third floor, the noise from I-25 was so loud that I requested a different room facing away from the highway. The receptionist asked which floor we wanted: I randomly said, "Second", and she said that was a good choice. Not. You would think that the clerk would have had the courtesy to warn us that a high school prom was scheduled for Saturday evening, on the same floor as our room. Our first night (Friday) was fine, but when we returned to our room on Saturday evening, it was pretty chaotic. Not only was the band playing loudly (of course), and party-goers everywhere, but rooms next to ours had been rented to some of the prom-attendees who proceeded to party loudly, including pounding on the door that separated our rooms. I finally called the front-desk at 12:30 am and asked that the noisemakers be moved to another room - was told that was not possible, all the rooms were filled. Really? Security would be sent to deal with the situation. The room finally was cleared, but the noise from other areas continued. Not much sleep that night, despite the comfortable bed. No apology from management. And the next night, again at 1 am, the clock/alarm went off in the other neighboring room. No one was in the room, so again had to call the desk and wait for security to stop the noise. When I mentioned the problem next morning when we checked out, the clerk just laughed and said that they often had that problem. Oh really? How about having your staff unplug the clock when the room is not rented out? It's a shame that the management of the Nativo is so clueless on dealing with simple issues. We will not be staying there again.

Room Tip: Ask for floor 3 or higher, and facing the Sandias.

We had the pleasure of staying with the Nativo Lodge for five days and were delighted. We were on the second floor with a beautiful view of the mountains. The tipi, which can be rented per night, was a plus. The wait staff and housecleaning staff was exceptional. Yes, I would stay there any time I am in Albuquerque.

Stayed for three weeks during when I first relocated to Albuquerque. LOVE the Southwest decor, very unique feel and staff was fantastic. Location is great with lots of restaurants with walking distance. Rooms are good-sized, amazingly comfortable beds and you can't beat the view off the balcony overlooking the Sandia Mountains. Since my stay, I have referred several people in town to visit and they loved it. It's not your typical cookie-cutter hotel. It is uniquely Southwest. And, when you compare...the rates are unbeatable for what you get.

Room Tip: Rooms either face the city...or the mountains. The mountain views are spectacular.
