This hotel is ideally located by the old town. it's also a nice base to visit the area including Santa Fe. The pictures re misleading, The reception area and the restaurant and bar are done in the old Spanish tradition. The room tower looks like it was done in "best of 70's" style. The rooms are clean, but do need updating. The bathrooms are not in line with how the property sells itself. The restaurant is surprisingly good. the service is friendly and helpful. Internet is free and of good quality.

If you can get a good deal on the property - its a good fit for a family. So long as you don't imagine an old-style quaint hotel in the middle of old town.

Highly recommended! We love coming here. VIP host Julia takes extremely good care of all of her guests and is extremely responsive and sensitive to particular requests. She is as accommodating as possible when it comes to location of the table and server. You can tell she takes her job seriously and always follows up to ensure that her guests are happy. Can make adjustments on the fly if a larger group ends up arriving.

Doormen and security are friendly, the waitresses and prompt and honest with the orders. It's the one place in Albuquerque that offers legitimate VIP service with all of the amenities expected. The VIP line moves quickly and comes with a bottle. Considering there is a door charge on most nights, it is well worth the money to get your party in and have a place to sit and converse. There is plenty of parking, coat check, and they can secure VIP parking or a cab (although we always have a dd so I've never asked about this).

We enjoy both clubs thoroughly. Casa is definitely a younger crowd and more house/hip-hop music. Qbar has more of an upscale lounge feel to it, more of a pop playlist, but still quite bustling on a Saturday. On Friday most people are at Casa, so it is more relaxed. The crowd is typically classy, they enforce a dress code which goes a long way. Shoes and a collar are expected.

Have never rented a room or eaten at the restaurants, so just gave a 5 for those aspects. I can only speak to the hotel's nightlife however.

I have attended many events here from a company Christmas Party, luncheons to the most recent event, the Montezuma Ball. This hotel never disappoints. Not only do they have excellent food and a friendly and experienced staff, but the ambience is so warm and inviting that you really hate to leave.

As chair of this year's Montezuma Ball, I can't thank everyone at Hotel Albuquerque enough for all you did to make our gala the most amazing ever! Jenaya Howard, director of Catering and Convention Services, is such a pro and makes all event planning activities smooth and seamless. The entire staff is just incredible, professional and such a pleasure to work with. And, the food was fantastic. I have gotten so many comments on how great the food was and how beautiful the venue was. That is BECAUSE of the Hotel Albuquerque. The hotel's special nightclub, Casa Esencia, is one of the most unique finds in all of Albuquerque and was the perfect place for the afterparty. Staying at the hotel was so nice following the gala. Hotel Albuquerque--you are doing all things right! Thanks for everything from all of WESST, the primary beneficiary of this year's gala.

Our company had our Christmas party here. The hotel staff was very friendly, the food was good, all was very festive. I really enjoyed myself, as did my fellow co-workers. I look forward to returning soon.

Room Tip: We were on the top floor less noise.
