“Couldn't even imagine a hotel like this exists, filthy, roaches, just nasty”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2011

After driving cross country and having good experiences at other Quality Inns, we were looking forward to our last night staying at a nice clean hotel with our children after driving all day and being exhausted. I have never seen anything so dirty in my life. We were first greeted by several huge roaches in our rooms, I was afraid to sit in couches that looked like they were dragged out of a garbage dump from the thick layer of brown a black of pure filth. We were relocated to the second floor where the dirtiness was still as apparent. My poor children were crying at seeing the condition and afraid of the sinister characters hanging out side. I would never stay here again if you paid me. We had reserved the room before arriving and only stayed the night because we couldn't keep driving that night it was very late, but didn't sleep thinking of what might crawl on my kids. We didn't participate in the breakfast and ran out of there as fast as we could in the morning.

The staff member was friendly and helpful. They were ready to answer questions with a smile and helpful attitude. The location was close to the highway, several restaurants, and a dog park. It was a very pleasant experience.

Called in two hours prior to arrival to reserve. We found it by using our GPS, it was just the best price for the limited time we needed a place to sleep. No room was ready when we arrived at 9 PM. We were traveling with three adults, two dogs, and a baby and had to wait over twenty minutes for the front desk to get us into our room. Lady was nice but frustratingly flaky.

The sign in the lobby said, "Please excuse our mess, we are remodeling." The stairway was extrodinarily filthy. Bathroom in room was the same - toilet had not been cleaned in a long time (had the brown ring and streaks in it), tub water ran brown when first turned on, and two roaches (one living, one dead) were found. There was no garbage can in the room, but we were given a few plastic bags by the front desk after we asked about it. (They don't put them in the rooms anymore.) The carpeted floor was sticky and I wore socks the whole stay so I wouldn't have to touch it.

Room overlooked pool and the very loud graduation party going on. When we asked the front desk when the party would end, we were told that there's no guarantee that they would be honoring the 10:00 PM noise curfew. Luckily, the fan covered most of the partying sounds (which went on till after midnight).

Would NOT recommend to anyone traveling - especially with children. We did not even attempt to use the pool... After how the room looked we were not about to risk it.

At check out the next morning the front desk was informed on all of the above and how this was the most unsanitary hotel we've ever stayed in.... She gave us our $10 pet fee back. Did not change how disappointed we were with this hotel.

As someone who works for a hotel company, i'm usually critical of properties. I was impressed with what they have done with this place. It's a low-cost hotel so my expectations were also low but they surprised me. The lobby was well decorated and more upscale looking than the rooms! The furnishings, carpet and walls in the guest room definitely look old, but the room was perfectly cleaned. The amenities provided were more than i'd expect from a Quality Inn. The free breakfast was outstanding with make-you-own waffles and sausage & egg sandwiches in a cute room that seemed to be a converted suite. The 3 staff members i spoke with all seemed knowledeable and caring, very friendly. I was in the middle of a cross-country drive and just needed a place for the night, but if i ever have to go back to Alb, i'll come back here. Nice job overall, congrats tothe staff!

We had a holiday party here at their meeting space. Some of us ended up staying the night for safety purposes. The room was clean and comfortable, it was an appropriate price for the room and amenities. The hot breakfast was great!

This was the most disgusting place I have ever stayed. We thought we'd book rooms for our family and my parents ahead of time...what a mistake. There were stains on the comforters and sheets, the pillow cases had make up and mascara on them, peeling wallpaper, water damage around the bathroom doors, the rooms looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in a very long time as did the hallways. We told the front desk, they stated they didn't have access to clean bedding. So they switched our rooms which were not much better. The sinks had hair around them and the showers had mold. The fridge in one room looked like something had been spilled but never cleaned. My daughter left with a rash the next day. Oh and the breakfast room...all I can say is yuck!
