“Disappointing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2013

We couldn't get into the Marriott Pyramid North so we stayed at the Albuquerque Marriott. Room was clean and staff was pleasant. The rooms and bathrooms are too small. The hotel is old and feels it. I could barely walk past my husband when he was sitting at the desk. The Concierge Lounge was very good for breakfast on Friday, but the buffet needed refreshing and did not have much choice. I think it's time to install room safes. I had a constant draft from the air conditioning when sitting on the easy chair in the room.

We spent two nights at the Marriott and was very disappointed with the air conditioning system, which made our stay very uncormfortable. It was our understanding that it was hotel-wide. The hotel room was very small, but clean and quiet. The staff was very nice and understanding. The food was good and the bar area was comfortable.

This is a full service Marriott hotel. Standard rooms are smaller than a Fairfield or Courtyard but nicely decorated. The lobby level restaurant is an open plan and although food is slightly more expensive than surrounding restaurants the food portions are large and very good. The room was spotless as was the bathroom. The bed was pretty soft. A mattress replacement might be in order for this older hotel. This is our favorite full service hotel in Albuquerque and is located adjacent to I-40 at Louisiana in the NE section of the city so if you use it for either a quick stop or a base of operations it is convenient without the traffic congestion of downtown but is about 15 minutes to reach Old Town and the historic area using I-40. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Corner rooms are sunny , , higher have better views of Albuqueruq and the mountains..

My wife and I stayed here on a recent visit to the area. This is a classic Marriot property that is very convenient to many restaurants and a nearby shopping mall. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The Internet was easy to connect and decent bandwidth.

I particularly enjoyed the outdoor sitting area adjacent to the pool. This property is also very close to the interstate and downtown.

The staff were all particularly friendly and accomodating. I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Enjoy the outdoor area if weather permits.

Just checked out
Pros: clean room, clean bathroom , very very nice doorman and check in
Close - across the street from a very nice shopping center which includes a Target
Bonus : They called my room a few minutes after we got in there to make sure it was good.

Cons: bed too soft - but someone people might like that.

This hotel is huge but the parking not so much and there is no valet parking either. After driving around the parking lot to find a space we could not get help getting our luggage into our room and ended up using a cart and doing it ourselves. While the room was rather newly remodeled it was not that large and not that comfortable. The air conditioning was set at 60 when we went into the room and it was never as cool as it was outside. The staff was fantastic and the drinks/food was fabulous. There was a convention going on and the staff was remarking how under staff they were.

Room Tip: If you are an internet user beware there is a charge for each device you want to use. We had two ip...

I stayed at this hotel during a conference.

It was clean and the staff was extremely accommodating. They were some of the friendliest hotel staff I have ever encountered.

The rooms were pretty spacious. I was sharing with three other girls but we got along just fine.

The location is not that great if you're wanting to be somewhere where interesting things are within walking distance. The nice thing is, the hotel offers a free shuttle anywhere within five miles of the hotel. It got us to and from Nob Hill, but I think Old Town was too far.

There is a Target and Trader Joe's very close by. Both came in handy for some things I needed due to under packing. The views when walking around the shopping area are really beautiful.

My one and only complaint is that the wi-fi is insanely expensive. If you want to use wi-fi outside of the lobby, you pay like $30 extra. Thankfully there was a Starbucks nearby that I was able to go to for internet. Staying at a hotel for a professional conference and not having any wi-fi is stressful.

Overall a nice hotel with great staff and average rooms.
