“A place to stay over night.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2012

We decided to stay at the La Quinta that is next to the Hampton Inn that we stayed in the last time through Albuquerque. Both hotels cost the same. The La Quinta is not as nice inside nor were the staff as friendly. We stayed on the first floor which was noisy. Won't be our choice next time through town.

This is a hotel that we have stayed at numerous times before and is a go-to place to crash when we're in Albuquerque. It is located just off interstate 25 but far enough to avoid traffic noise. The rooms are always clean and well stocked and provide a mini fridge. Although we do not know if all rooms are equipped with fridges. It's good to ask if you absolutely need one. There is are no microwaves in the room but that may be because there is a Denny's within walking distance and a cracker barrel across the street. Both are very good.

When we stayed at this location this time, we were travelling with a family member on a portable oxygen tank. The front desk was very helpful in getting us a handicap accessible room at no extra charge.

Complimentary breakfast was ok. Be ready to wait in line for the waffle maker. There are two available, but with 25-40 people wanting to make a waffle, it may take a while.

Overall, this is a very good place to stay.

Considering the break-in to our car, this was an expensive stay (broken window, stolen documents). The security guard was off at 5am and the car parked in view of the front door. Very disappointed. There may be trailer parks nearby. Can't believe the guard missed this. Lazy.

Stayed here for 3 weeks while relocating to ABQ from the east coast. The bed was very comfortable, plenty of comfy pillows too. No complaints about the cleanliness, smelled fine. The wifi, on the other hand, sucked, and I was in a room with a router. Ended up using my smartphone to access the Internet because it was so slow. Close to work, and close to house hunting.

My husband and I stayed here for a couple of nights last week for the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. We had no problems. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. They were also very responsive when we were having wifi connection problems and they had a tech work on it and contact us asap.

The pool was a bit murky but it was still a great place to hang out in the afternoons. Breakfast was pretty much continental but adequate. Those with heartier appetites can go to the Dennys that adjoins the hotel property or the Cracker Barrel across the street.
