“LOVED this hotel!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2010

I stayed here while I attended a conference just down the street, also during the balloon festival at the same time. It was a fantastic hotel - I still remember how much it impressed me. They had just opened up from the renovation, and staff was overwhelmingly cordial. They allowed my dog to stay also (real plus), and there was plenty of place to walk him. The decor of the rooms was superb - eclectic, soothing, restful. Beds were super comfortable, bathrooms very very cool, flat screen TV, LARGE rooms. I would recommend this place for anyone wanting more than a chain hotel.

The Hotel Andaluz is a historic hotel that has been renovated to the 9's. Their TV's in the room are bigger than what we have at home. The Ibiza lounge area rivals that of any hip spot you'll find in the big cities. It was quite refreshing to find such a hotel in an expected place on the edge of downtown Albuquerque. Stay here and experience a taste of the southwest that the chain hotel don't provide even though there are several within walking distance.

We stayed at the hotel Andaluz for 3 days in June of 2010. We stayed in an "Andaluz Room" which was great. The room was very well decorated, had tons of room, an extremely comfortable bed, a nice sink setup (his and hers sinks with separate mirrors), and a great shower. The room we stayed in looked exactly like the pictures on the hotel website.
The hotel is in an awesome location for doing things in downtown Albuquerque, we went out to the bars downtown one of the nights and had a great time.

The only complaint we had is the noise from the bar/club on the Friday night that we were there. They had a DJ in the club that night who was set up on the roof part of the bar in the hotel. Unfortunately our room was above the bar so we heard music, laughter, yelling etc. until pretty late that night. It wasn't THAT big of a deal, but it was harder to go to sleep that night.

Great place in the center of the city. Loved the room and the ambiance. The restaurant is top grade. Reminds one of Europe including upscale service and xlnt service. Listening music on one floor and dancing on another. Comfortable second floor patio was a nice surprize. The friendly staff reminds that New Mexico is the friendliest place in the Southwest. A pleasant out of the box experience.

I am so tardy with this review! We stayed at Hotel Andaluz for the second time last February. Our first stay was wonderful, but we did let the hotel know we found the bed too soft. For our second stay they arranged for a board to make the mattress less soft and it was terrific. The hotel is beautiful, food is incredible and service impeccable. After just one night we felt rested and rejuvenated. I highly recommend this most excellent hotel!

Beautiful hotel, great location. The rooms were contemporary and cozy making my trip away from home a welcome experience. I would absolutely stay during a vacation or a girls weekend. Lobby provided a comfortable and lavish setting to relax with a cocktail or snack on great food from the hotel restaurant.

Wonderful place. The staff is very friendly; from the moment you are greeted by the valets until you check out, they're great. And the rooms are very cool. Great location. I've been here for business (and I would really like to plan a business meeting here) and for pleasure. I'll come back again and again. If you like to walk, there's plenty of places to wander.
