The Hotel Andaluz is a beautiful old hotel located in downtown Albuquerque, within a block of the convention center. The property is stunning yet comfortable and not stuffy in the least. The staff is friendly, yet not overly so...reserved may be a good description. My room was very small, but again very beautiful and comfortable. I understand that there are larger rooms so if spreading out a bit is important, you might want to ask ahead.
The hotel restaurant, Lucia, is wonderful and not to be missed.
As other reviewers have mentioned, in-room coffee makers are by request. I had to ask three times, but one was eventually brought up and the coffee was stellar!
My only real complaint was the shower. The water takes forever to warm up (wasteful in my book) and the pressure in the shower is just plain weird...sort of hard but sprayed all over the place. Being a green hotel is good, but there are low pressure shower heads that direct the water onto me and not all over the tub. :)
