“A Most Fantastic Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013

My new Husband and I chose this as hotel while we were in Albuquerque celebrating our honey moon. From the moment you walk in its fabulous. The service at the front desk was provided by a gentleman named Rodney. He was so super friendly. We also had a bartender who was fantastic I think his name was Mark. This was a most enjoyable and relaxing place. Beautiful interior, no funky smells, a huge court yard with a pool and a hot tub. I loved the gazebo out in the court yard that was where we spent most of our outside time. Housekeeping is very trustworthy. fresh towels were provided and our trash was dumped daily without calling the front desk everyday. Nothing in our room was ever touched. that's a great feeling. this was over all the best hotel experience of my life and I hope that we can go back again.

Many hotels have the pretend breakfast of coffee and mini bagels. A few hotels have the slight upgrade which includes little yogurt cups and fresh fruit. The top of the breakfast heap are the hotels with a full, hot breakfast like Clubhouse Inn. What makes the Clubhouse different is the inclusion of Green Chile Stew in the offering. For those not familiar with the New Mexico dining scene: everything is better with the state vegetable chile. For the less adventuresome the offerings included scrambled eggs, a meat (sausage one day, ham another), hash browns, wonderful home-made biscuits with gravy if you must, fresh fruit, make-your-own waffles, fresh fruit, yogurt cups, cereal, juices, coffee, hard boiled eggs, toast, sweet rolls, and probably more.

They also have the manager's reception in the evening with plenty of alcohol choices and what appeared to be a good pool.

The rooms were big, comfy, and clean.

The internet was free but didn't stay up well on wireless and was slow when it did. Two Windows 8 PCs in the lobby were reliable but the net speed was probably only 1 MB.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the freeway.

When we pulled up to the hotel I wasn't super excited about the exterior....boy was I wrong! The interior has been remodeled recently. Our room was very nice and the beds were comfortable. They have great safety features as far as needing a room key to open exterior doors, including the front door, after 8pm. I've been to places that look like you need a key to get in but the door is never locked.
The breakfast was nice and included a good variety. There was plenty of seating.
Our room had a little balcony that overlooked the pool. We didn't have a chance to use the pool but it looked nice!
I would definitely stay here again if we were going through Albuquerque!

We came into town on Sunday evening about 11:30pm and checked out Wednesday at 11am. We came into town for a concert at the Isleta Amphitheater. We had a 2 queen room, a table with 2 chairs!! Sorry as a mom with kids this was great...you always just get the desk chair...any way. Outdoor pool and indoor spa tub. Every morning a great breakfast...peaches, strawberries, cottage cheeses, hard bolied eggs, yogurt...various breads...two large hot pans contains various stuff each day....not one day was it all repeated fot the hot food...biscuits, eggs each day. One day corned beef hash, bacon , sausage. Always green chili....the coffee is seriously hot....like not ok kind of hot. We would fill our coffee cups half full of ice water and then add coffee!! BE CAREFUL!!! The evening reception is great....2 free adult drinks and made the kids kiddie cocktails! ( tip that bar tender and tell him the TRAIN concert family said he rocks) free popcorn and appetizers to buy. only bad part the internet only hooked up once in our room wasn't a big deal to us we just used computers in lobby but no late night internet surfing here. We asked the front desk for local advice on dinner and we were very happy with the recommendation. A shuttle will take you any place with in 5 miles till like 10 pm i think...we didn't use the service but it was nice to now we could of.

Room Tip: No elevator so if you cant climb stairs this will be bad. Our room faced the hwy but not real bad o...

Are intent was to stay here two nights starting June 3, and we have stayed here occasionally for the last 15 years and had positive experiences. We had an issue with the room plumbing and cleanliness and I let the receptionist know that were were not satisfied. She displayed a bothered attitude but relented. We asked to be shown the room that they were going to put us in before we committed. The woman showed us a room which also had obviously not been vacuumed properly with visible dirt on the carpet, and we asked her to have it vacuumed, which really seemed to bother her (I GUESS we can do it). After waiting about 20 minutes in the lobby, listening to her complain to another employee about what she had to take care of, we we told it was ready. We were there less than 5 minutes and saw more stains, dirt, and dead bugs on the carpet, and dead ants under the bed covers. Needless to say we immediately had her cancel the reservation and found another hotel for the night. Not only is the furniture and decor outdated now, but cleanliness and customer service have declined a great deal here. Used to like it here, but now would not recommend to any of our friends or family. Good luck to you if you choose to stay here.

I really liked my hotel stay; I'll be back. The not so good: had a few inconveniences (minor), very, very slow internet. The good: free breakfast, convenient next to freeway (bad thing entering north, great exiting/going south), good hotel layout, big enough room, great value for what you get, liked bathroom layout, nice lobby/dining area, lots of parking, cable/lcd tv. The outstanding: great service, manager's reception/happy hour (drinks some free additional at cost, a few snacks), restaurant service (pizza, burgers, nachos, I thought the prices were not unreasonable), bar service (the bartender served up some really good drinks, again I thought the prices were not unreasonable). My family was pretty tired so we did everything at the hotel (breakfast, managers reception, restaurant service); we really enjoyed it.

Room Tip: If you have a phone with hot spot service take it with you here and use that for your internet conn...

We stayed six day's at the hotel and we thought the total bill was very reasonable. The staff was very polite and very helpful on anything you needed. They always made you feel welcomed. The rooms were clean and the bartender was very friendly and great on serving the drinks. The breakfast was o.k. just wish they would change it up a little. Being there six days of the same breakfast was a little boring. All in all it was a good place to stay for the price. I think we would stay again.
