“Great value and location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013

This was our favorite hotel accommodations during our recent road trip in NM. The rooms were big, great flat screen TV, tasteful southwestern themed decor and comfy beds. They had a good, hot breakfast. Location was in walking distance of Old Town and right near the expressway.

Only thing that could have been better was the hotel restaurant. We ended up eating there our first night in Albuqurque because there were no open restaurants nearby on a Sunday night. Food was just ok. Service and price could have been better. But overall we would definitely recommend this hotel.

This is a ordinary run of the mill hotel, clean and comfortable rooms. Nice pool area and good location. You can walk to Old Town from here. On a main road but it was quite at night. There is a restaurant inside the hotel which is great for breakfast, but I would recommend going out.

Spent 3 nights here and I have to say it was faultless, clean tidy and pleasant reception staff all made for a comfortable and untroubled stay - rooms feel safe because they are inside the inn and bathrooms are spotless.

Room Tip: Shower is great

This is an old hotel that is being remodeled. Our room was very nice, very quiet and slept great.
Hot tub and pool were very cold. Most of the card readers on the outside doors did not work very well. Elevators not working. I would have felt safer about the parking lot if the security gates were actually closed after dark.
I think (hope) that this will be a great hotel choice when the renovations are complete.

Rio Grande Inn is just a few blocks from the edge of Old Towne. There is a restaurant on site and several more within easy walking distance. Old Towne was a little too far for us to walk in the heat. We had really nice breakfast in their restaurant but the wait staff obviously did not like working the morning shift.

We planned ahead, as usual, we checked in late and the Staff was wonderful. He got us checked right in, gave us a welcome gift for staying, was quick and efficient. The hotel was very nice, decorated in southwest décor. The layout is a little quirky, so just follow the directions they give you at check-in. Our room was quite and located over-looking the pool area. The room has all the amenities you expect, TV, fridge, desk w/chair, microwave and nightstands. The bathroom was a little tight compared to other Best Westerns, but it was nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable, I wish I could have taken the pillows home with me! It is located right off I-40 with easy access, and ample parking. Check-out was a breeze, and although our stay was very pleasant, this Best Western does not serve the continental breakfast we are so used to, they do have a restaurant in the dining area. I should have checked before I booked, we do enjoy the early morning "free" breakfast, but this Best Western is nice, comfortable and clean and I recommend it to anyone.

Visited the hotel last night. and was checked in by a robot it seemed, I don't know if she was new?blondish young girl with glasses, but after check in I asked her if she could recommend a restaurant for dinner she looked at me like (that's not my job) type of look! She was just so rude! some one needs to tell her she is in customer service! lucky for us another young lady steeped in and gave us a local map and recommended one of her personal favorites she was awesome even offering the hotel shuttle to drive us to and from. I think her name was Clarissa? anyway thanks to her we were on our way to a good night. It is important for us tourist to have some guidance as to where we are. WE DO NOT KNOW THE AREA! the rooms are wonderful seem to be recently remodeled love the southwestern look! Maintenance was wonderful. He came up to help us figure out how to work our T.V...

Thank you for taking the time to post a review of our hotel. The employee you are speaking of is new to our hotel and area. The employee who stepped in to assist was her supervisor and was there specifically to help out a situation similar to yours. We are positive that the employee's performance will improve as she gains the confidence that comes with experience.
